Corrupted blood is retarded

Agree. CB should be more dangerous so we dont have enough time to log out
I tend to focus on my health globe more than my character or upper left corner of the display. I'll be fine one minute then suddenly be suffering huge health loss over time... I look at my character to see wtf is going on, see the dark corrupting blood orbs that blend in with everything else... try a potion and can't out heal the DoT because it only ever becomes noticeable when I have 15+ stacks :/

Yes I can use a flask to negate it but as far as I can tell, this is the only status effect in the game (Especially now that Shock mechanics have been changed) that is so dangerous that it practically requires a flask to survive.

Other status ailments typically don't require one specific thing to survive.

but the flask is not the only counter play to corrupting blood. You could just skip the mob, or use a slower hitting attack/ a spell with less projectiles and leech through the slower building stacks.
Hey...is this thing on?

If you want to solve that issue then simply ask GGG to have it so that there is no more auto-logout save for in towns. Instead, Alt+F4ing or exiting to character screen/game leaves your character in the area for 10 seconds before it happens...oh how the forums would erupt into such a huge bitch fest...would need a lot of buckets for all the tears. ;)

As for CB itself...it's dangerous and perhaps a little too much so when you start having it on enemies that already have naturally high damage, and that's before you add any map damage mod scalers or curses into the mix. Also doesn't help that if you're running in a party you'll likely have so many aura/buff icons up on the screen that the CB debuff will be hidden underneath the nameplate of the mob you're targeting so it's not easy to see. The orbs can get hidden within the cluster-storm of effects going on in that case, too, so you're pretty much stuck with keeping your eyes on your health globe.

Best choice would be to read the mods on the rare you're attacking before going in to attack, but you won't always get that luxury, especially if the rare is on the edge of the screen that you don't quite see yet, or is also lost in a sea of monsters/player effects so that identifying it is a hassle. Certainly wouldn't hurt to make CB-tainted enemies have a better visual indicator for them since it doesn't make them any less dangerous, just gives the player a little more awareness before engaging, or perhaps choosing to just skip if it's too much.

Not in timed Zana map with "kill N corrupted monsters" mission.
And worst change is putting almost all bosses in new version of maps into fucking small areas, where you can't kite well or dodge stuff. What a terrible idiot invented that I want say to him: dude flick you, seriously flick you very much.

Re: the alt+F4 suggestion: I'd honestly like to see that implemented. Not because I'm sadistic, but so that Chris can stop using the "well, players will just alt+F4 and we want to challenge them" BS and actually balance the content around the sensible way to play, which is to attempt the challenge fairly instead of OMFG ALTF4 MACRO.

I actually don't have a flask on my bow build. I should, but I have been lazy.

And I have no problem with CB

Basically I just leech past the bleed, and my puncture dps is high enough tot ake down the mob only getting 10-15 stacks on me

happy for you
usually my FB meleesplash duelist don't have issues with CB too but in 30+ mob crowd he get CB charges really fast even when he is not hitting that exact monster :) and having only 1 staunching flask is not enough in such situation

I do still think that the primary issue is that the effect on the player character's character model isn't pronounced enough. Yes there is an icon in the top left and yes you have your health gauge depleting but... aside from the icon in the top left which I often ignore (I need to one day not ignore it so much) it's easy to make a mistake and end up dead.

For example: I have insane life leech, by the time I notice that my health is depleting I will already have numerous stacks of Corrupting Blood applied to me (A lot of stacks are needed to counter my life leech), my reaction to my health suddenly draining is to instinctively retreat and try to recover... this effectively ends my leeching and ultimately causes my death because I need to leech AND use a flask at the same time :/ Life Leech & Corrupting Blood makes it easy to create a topsy turvy situation that is not in your favour.

I should also mention that in situations involving an enemy with the Corrupting Blood mod, the enemy left to attack is often the enemy that causes the effect, because their usually magic or rare or some such and outlive the other enemies leaving you with no safe way to leech (Unless you use an alternate skill to begin with, but that would avoid the issue in the first place too).

Yeah hahaha .... now I must be the only one on this server that fights CB mobs every day right ? I am being delusional right ? LOL And yeah, volatile blood it's the same crap. It's overtuned so you if you even have 4k life you instadie. So yes, everything is a one shot mechanic because it's obvious it's made this way in purpose, I have some experience playing already, thank you for your inmense wisdom. This game is not hard, this game is about to cross the line of the absurd and it's starting to be not fun to play.

Actually the volatile mobs do elemental damage, and it tells you wich kind in its name. So if you are running around with negative resists or low resists and facetank those mobs then yes, you are gonna die.
