Corrupted blood is retarded

All CB really needs is a better visual indicator. The game should let you know how dangerous a situation is without having to watch your health globe and status effects constantly.

Many red globes hover around your character and a status indicator is shown at the top of the screen. Of course your HP is also going down so you get three indicators of corrupted blood at once.

LOL, Corrupted blood is unbelievably simple to counter, it's actually one of the few nemesis mods I really liked. It only hurts people who are not paying attention and it has been ages since I have seen anyone die from it.

IMO the game needs MORE elements like this one. The joke is that people come to the forums to complain about it. seriously. One flask with staunching is all you need, why is that so hard?

I do think it's easy to see when 20 red globes are all over my character. Then again I'm not playing the old lowlife builds that had no light radius..

With massive effects party you can miss everything in the game so that's irrelevant to mention. Not like you can even see something like reflect. At least corrupted blood shows around your character and has a clear status effect.

Even if you miss both, it's quite visible when your HP is steadily going down. Make your bleed flask the panic flask that you first use in such situations. I've countered some corrupted blood before I realized they were even there thanks to that.

The reason I think corrupting blood is retarded is because I died from it once.... never even new what it was. (Did not play nemesis league)

And after I learned what it was... I have never died from it since... game just forces me to keep a staunching flask on hand from level 40 zones onwards.

Poor game design. Not fun, not challenging, it is just a 'gotcha' mechanic.

Everything I don't like is poor game design.
It's fine. It's a form of reflect that doesn't one-shot you. You can counter it with one keystroke. If you miss that your health globe is being rapidly depleted, it's not the mechanic's fault.

Corrupting blood was a problem when it was first introduced, people are not used to having such fast degen stack up on them. Matter of fact I lost my main char in hc due to it when it was introduced.

Right now, not so much since I have the mentality of facing at least one in every map. Haven't die to one since.

Having that said, corrupting blood does have its flaw.. it all comes down to builds. Heavy slow hitting builds will have less problem with it comparing to fast attacks with lesser damage. Not to mention the situations when they are hiding within a pack or mobs or you have attacks that hit off screen.

Another problem is during party play when you have more than 6 auras running,and the icons for power/frenzy shards + icons for flasks usually puts corrupting blood's indicator behind the mob'S name.

And let's face it, I would rather pay attention to the surroundings than keeping my eye on my char for little red orbs. Especially when I am using a lot of alternate skill mtx.

Giving CB a more distinctive effect will solve most of the problems, I don't see any downside to it
@Alea currently playing an incinerate build, also have a melee build with 5 APS and was using elemental buzzsaw last league with 6 APS.

Most CBs I outleech, harder ones I just quickly staunch. The trick is to have staunch in your 1st or 2nd flask spot so it's always your panick button when HP goes down. Even if you don't notice the corrupted blood effect, you will notice your HP. So you'd hit the potion when you take any sort of significant damage which negates unnoticed CBs.

I personally actually see the effect at the top of the screen.. It's quite visible.

It is a poor design because its a one time only 'gotcha' kill. Once you know what it is... it never kills you again... unless you doing something silly.

Dominus' blood rain falls under the same catagory. As does the following:

Ice nova from boxes
Vaal Smash
Volatile Xblood
Puncture
Everything else in the game thats not just a vanilla attack/spell

Just because it kills you before you understand the skill does not make the skill a badly designed one. A lack of an ingame wiki (updated with each introduced mechanic) is what you're taking issue with, not the skills themselves.
