The Taming, or Can I Still Chance This Amazing Ring

The sad thing is when they do this on nice build enabling uniques but most crap uniques are here to stay.

Price of say Shavronne Revelation ring is going around 25-30 exa, back in the league where you could drop it, it was 3 ex.
It is just a sure way to add legacy items, which is a bad design all around.

I do not understand the incentive to make these kind of uniques now, back when the 4 month leagues were starting yes but now they are just funneling build enabling / fun uniques into legacy status.

Too bad about not being able to get The Taming anymore (except for legacy). Maybe we'll start getting some legacy items as season rewards

I really don't understand the concept of taking working and interesting uniques out of the Game.

while i somehow see the reason behind it, to encourage people playing new leagues its actually counter productive, i was playing all 4month leagues so far and i absolutely MISS the following:
Gift from above
Voll devotion
Death rush
Victarios acuity
i have all of these in standard/hardcore, but whats the point once again? imo the old league uniques should still drop in the new 4month leagues, that way the reason to keep them ladder only is totally justified and we dont miss out on all those goodies

I wanted to play a low-life, RF build so badly for PVE, but not being able to get a hold of a Shav's Revelation in Domination ruined it. I literally made my character and leveled it to 70, expecting to get the ring, only to learn that it no longer dropped. Popping ruby flasks gets really old after a while...

just because something is removed from the drop table doesnt mean they cant be chanced anymore...ggg fix it pls. this legacy thing is going too far.

That they are exclusive doesn't mean its a good solution.
While I can understand people's frustration with this (and especially if you didnt know it was temporary league only unique) I can give a pro tip to farm the currency in the new leagues if there is an item you really want for a build.

This is words of wisdom. So many interesting and special uniques just going in the dumpster for no reason.
I can understand that GGG want to encourage players to try new builds, but this is just like they decide what you have to play.

A: What if I want to play the same build 2 ladders in a row?
B: Look at the options you get if you are able to combine old uniques with new. Endless options! This is build diversity ladies and gentlemen.

The only thing taking uniques away does is stifle builds. You know how disappointing it is to be looking through the wiki while theory crafting to find the item that would make your build kick is now limited in quantity to what already exists (and are getting rarer if anyone hits anything with a vaal orb) and is now "exclusive" to standard/hardcore.

Exclusive uniques should always drop in leagues, making that be the only way to get that is gate enough to keep numbers down but to not make the only 3 of one ring on XYZ be listed for 50 exalts.
