Scariest / creepiest area of the game?

What area in the game makes you feel uneasy when entering either by being generally creepy or scary, or by making you really fear for the life of your toon even before entering?
For me its: general creepiness - the side area in act 3 slums with the voice of a man being tortured.. creeped the living sh*t out of me playing at night on headphones. Scared for the life of my toon - the charge up teleporting guys in act 3 sewers, not being chaos immune any decently modded act 2 worm spitter thingys in the pyramid and any of the speedy snake crawlers in the same area. Also the barrage abominations in act 3 last zone.. the area being a lot of narrow bridges those barrages are very nasty. What about you? |

crematorium level 2 I always remove make headphones to make sure the screams aren't real.

not to be a douchbag but....do you really get scared in this game or creeped/chills?
I wish it where more dark world than it is to be honest, but we have more acts so see how it go beyond act 3 |

The act 3 carpets are always creepy.

The last Area of act 3 before getting to Piety is absolutely terrifying.
Turn off the music, and let the screams go wild. The endless piles of dead bodies and the pools of blood. By far the most frightening thing I have ever seen in an ARPG. LOVE IT |

The Solaris Temple with the eerie music, statues and ribbons had a really cool creepiness to it. I love the art direction and the whole concept of that area.

The prison made me realise what I missed in D2 the first time I stepped in. There were probably a couple of other run-down cellars and dungeons which were nicely done too. Lunaris temple obviously nailed a sweet spot; I wished they explained the reasons behind butchering so many people... would have given me something to think about.
