This is the biggest slap to the face yet.

I really cannot understand how people like M59Gars guildies got into this game in the first place.

If I want to test that new orb, I do it on cheap items; its not like that orb is very rare.
If I want to gamble it on my xxx exalt worth unique or 6l chest I might take a second to think about the possible outcomes (maybe even read about other peoples experience in the forums) and then come to a conclusion if it´s worth to take that risk.

Quitting because you got greedy and then unlucky is to laugh at.



How is this game not made for gamblers?
You can lose everything you worked for in a few minutes at the casino aka trying to 5link that chest :D

GGG have made a hot mess of game balance, with a consistent pattern of bad judgment:

1. Introduce aberrant OP Uniques breaking gameplay in unprecedented manner.

2. Nerf fundamental game mechanics to throttle abuse of exploits unleashed by broken OP Uniques.

3. Make global revisions to Passive Tree to realign build strategies with retro-nerfed game mechanics.

4. Cripple OP Uniques to tamp down overheated trade economy, endowing Legacy Uniques with BiS immortality.

5. Fabricate a new-fangled orb type with an undisclosed RNG that might possibly mitigate the damage or just fuck things up, who knows?

^ when you do this stuff continuously its not "bad judgment" anymore, but conscious design

This stuff is so far beyond "actual playing" that's is incorrect to use that term. Players cheat to get it. They abuse mechanics of the game that were never intended to be abused. They don't have an ounce of "play" in them.

That's fine.

What's not fine is the developers wasting their time on those types of players at the expense of people who just want to play. That's going to cost them money. They wont get another dime from me until they stop it.
