Possible Exploit?

I'm not sure if this qualifies as an exploit but I'm an honest member of the community so I'll report it anyway.

1. Go to Mudflats via WP (1 second)
2. Walk to Tidal Island (20 seconds)
3. Kill Hailrake, loot her stuff since she's unique and often drops rares and orbs. (30 seconds)
4. Go out back to Terraces, reset Tidal Island instance, repeat. (20 seconds)

I used this for about twenty minutes yesterday and got several orbs and an inventory full of rares. I didn't even have any mods for item rarity or quantity. It's really really easy to farm Hailrake with a higher level character on normal, and I assume it'll be even more viable on Cruel and Merciless where the drop rate is better.

That's intended. The drop rate slowly gets worse and worse as you keep farming a certain instance, in addition to the level penalty.

Well known I don't think it's a glitch it is just a reset instance.

It is obviously intended.

But a better one would be :

1. Go to act 2, crossroads.
2. Run up top left following the road onto the highground
3. Kill the orange dude there
4. Run back tp to town > tp back
5. Profit without ????

Not an exploit, just simple boss farming. Note, Hailrake is a sub-boss/mini-boss, not a boss; Mervail is the "boss" of Act 1, Vaal of Act 2, etc. You could zone into Mud Flats and go kill the unique rhoa that spawns in there, too - same thing as Hailrake.

Also good tip CTRL + Left Click on the WP interface resets each instance while in town.

I wouldn't have expected something that...naive from an experienced BOTWer like you, Dash.

I'll mention this to Chris but I've a feeling they would have realised the possibility by now and changed it were they not happy with the situation.

But you're right -- for all my hours playing (and many of them are spent in the first few areas, heh), it never occurred to me to farm Hailrake. Or Headstaver. I get crappy drops from bosses too often to really care.

I don't bump my IIQ/IIR though.

At any rate, I don't think it's an exploit.

Ahh very true! Good old Oozeback Bloom... but I never got much in the way of drops off of him.

I figured it probably wasn't worth reporting but my Boy Scout sense of duty made me want to report it because it was frankly just way too easy to get an inventory full of stuff.

Nahh...not a single orb or good item in 5 runs and 0 exp , so no i go on farming maps on my level ^^

Man did Diablo 3 screw people up! Next thing you know people will be asking if its normal for loot to come out of barrels.
