I agree. BE a little more aggressive on the promoting of this. Let's take neverwinter for instance, which definatly feels more acive than this population Wise.. I can't go an Watch any movie streams on icefilmsdotinfo without getting their (somewhat well done) advertising video. this is just one example amongst many.
But more importantly, imo. before starting advertising, you need something to hook ppl onto your stuff. rather than bore them away. i'm talking about trading here. i'm 30 years old and have seen my fair share of arpgs/mmos/games in general and i can identify the weakness here in this title quite easily. TRADING. The current state of trading will bore and piss anyone with an once of grey matter. i beleive more underground forms of advertising would be to consider, streaming sites, Facebook ads, etc.

only thing i'd recommend them is to use google&facebook advertises more, its really effective... sadly cant tell an example why i recommend it because it would be too long:P
