Why does GGG not advertise there game better?

What if advertizing PoE well would work against GGG?

You as a potential supporters seeing that your lovely weak game can survive because of how everybody knows it's great. You are no longer willing to support it.

Similar other situation happened to me. A guy from this community had a problem and as soon as i have heard of it i went to PM him and try to help, then i saw a thread made by himself where everybody knew about his problem, everybody was saying sweet words. => I lost interest

Advertisement is expensive.

This aside, the retention rate is pretty low, partly because of the way the game is designed. It's not very friendly toward newcomers or casual players. When it was released on Steam, it had a 40k players peak in the first few days. Now it peaks at 6k at the most. (This is only Steam, but the trend is likely to be representative.)

Most people who are into grind-y games and enjoy the ARPG genre have most likely heard of the game anyway.

GGG mentioned 5 million users/accounts. If that figure is true, most didn't stick with the game.

I really like Kripp but I don't always like what he plays but its really his decision and i don't completely understand some of the hate he's getting in this thread. I heard about the game quite awhile ago. I am always looking for the next game to try. Wasn't all that hard to find really.

SotV should've been a super bowl commercial. 50 million people watch it.

ggg dont need to advertize. they have recently been in the top 10 in steam games played. tbh steam is enough. more kiddies bum rushing the game is not wanted.
