Did HC players get the shaft on the new leagues?

I hope next league they don't take quite as aggressive a "hardcore leagues are for dying" stance. I mean, they should be, but they should also get interesting/novel content, too. Ambush gets all the bosses Invasion does, just in side areas, and then gets the coolest part of the miniexpansion.

These leagues are exactly the same as the previous ones...


The softcore league adds entirely new mechanics to the game.


The hardcore league takes existing mechanics and simply makes them harder.





Invasion and Ambush both reflect this philosophy, as will the next pair, and the next...and so on. Unless they decide to drastically change their goals with the leagues, which I don't think they will. (If it ain't broke, don't fix it)

The bosses are regular bosses that are going to be in the side areas anyway, they're not new bosses specific to the league like the rollable chests are for Ambush.

Why play hardcore if you don't like challenging fights and pushing your limits just for the fun of it?

If you JUST want more loot, then play the non hardcore leagues and just try not to die.

Well, I wouldn't call mods on monsters something new.

They were just more exotic, fight changing mods.
When I played HC more back in the day it was more for competition on the ladder. This adds more to me for more people going to die. HC is always fun no matter what they add.

I just can't play it due to many friends not playing HC cause of desync though. But I'll still lvl for the challenges. I look forward to it.

If you want to play the league with the strongboxes, do so. If you want to play the more challenging and more competitive league, do that.

The new HC league registered a 2/10 interest on my boner meter.

Which is fine with me, I can do the next 4 months with my legacy shavs/iiq/aegis/whatever else is needlessly nerfed.
