[1.3] Sidra's Necromancing Ranger of Chaos (Poison Arrow) Videos/Atziri capable

Hi Asidra,

ive been following your guide in beyond and so far its works great. I have a smaller question: Why firetrap? My guess would be because of chaos resist mobs but even when i encounter a chaos resist boss the firetrap seems to do next to nothing. Keep in mind i only got to lv 66 maps so far but wouldn't descrate be more useful or some other skill?

Heya, and glad you are liking the build on Beyond! I actually used Desecrate for a long time - but the problem ends up being just like Poison Arrow, Desecrate can't kill totems.

Fire Trap is for totems - primarily the ones surrounded by enemies with "enemies cannot be killed"

I am low on chromes and Vorici is low level on standard, but I am actually considering taking elemental proliferation out at some point and putting Empower in to make it stronger single target - Haku missions and the achievement on Rampage/Beyond that requires an Olmec kill.

Hej thanks for the answer. Personally i didnt encouter (yet) any situation where totems are a problem, but i see your point and why firetrap is more useful than descrate. It is realy unfortunate that poison arrow doesent dmg totems and therefore this build need to dedicate another major skill in a chest piece :(

Usually, your zombies just whack em dead. But the Enemies cannot die ones surrounded by enemies are a major pain in the ass without fire traps.

The boss ones can be a bit difficult as well, and can take a while. I know when I was farming the hell out of Corrupted zones with this toon, I'd always dread the totem boss one - as I'd have to run around tossing traps, raising zombies, and trying to keep a skelly totem up close to it. It was the only boss that actually took any time and would mess with my groove when queueing up like 50+ fragments at a time. And that was only a 67ish boss - Olmec and Haku bosses are higher.

It's probably the only thing I don't like about the build, and it's good they are not a larger part of the game. I guess it's the downside to balance the fact that normal enemies have less chaos resistances than other resistances.

For totems I use searing bond + empower + increased burning damage in a +2 fire gems scepter on a switch. Works pretty well for me.
Hey, I'm sorry if this got answered already, but is it possible to go for traps early(say 40-80) and then respec to your spec?
My build is currently a variation of RaizQT's Poison Arrow trap char, but for me it feels really sluggish. I got a +2 Level of Bow gems bow set up and run PA with ConcE-Trap-IncAOE and I can kill normal packs with one trap, but I had to kite a bit the limitation of traps really breaks through.
So later on I'd like to transition to your build. I was thinking if I got PA to an appropriate level I wouldn't have the need for the trap damage modifiers anymore, could you tell me when that applies?
I apologize, but that's a difficult question for me to answer as I never felt that the trap damage modifier was necessary. You pay for the trap modifier with some clunkiness and sometimes cloud placement inefficiency. The ability to shoot unlimited arrows where you want them makes for smoother gameplay, imo. I don't think either method is necessarily better than the other, it just comes down to personal preference in how you like to play.

Well, just killed my first Atziri ever with this build. It really starts to shine when all your gems are max level in a +1/+2 5L+ bow. It's basically fire & forget type of clearing.

I didnt use the skeleton totem too much, so I've just changed my setup to CWDT - enduring cry - immortal call, which adds a ton of survivability against things like roas or enemiss with flicker strike which you can't dodge.

Btw, is it possible to corrupt PA to level 21 or more? I have searched poe.xyz on both rampage and standard and there's not a single PA above level 20.

Yes - Poison Arrow can be corrupted to 21 (look at my gem). I actually leveled 6 Poison Arrow gems in my off slot twice to get them to 20/20 then vaal'd em all. Nailed 2 - one I use and one I sold for 35ex. I very rarely never see them on sale - so that's the route I'd recommend for anyone wanting to get a 21 level gem. From 25 > 28, every Poison Arrow level literally adds over 1500 dps.
