As cool as I think it is that this worked, I'm interested to see how this will play out in the future with recipes. I could absolutely see recipe-ransom's being bid-out. Not saying it's a bad thing, just something to think about.

Many map/item affixes give alch shards. That isn't a special recipe and is noted on the wiki.
