WAY too many fire resistant monsters.

What's the purpose of being a fire mage if seemingly EVERY monster on 90% of the maps are resistant? It is BY FAR the most common resistance, arguably more so then chaos. I don't understand why, and even with gems like empower, or fire penetration, or added burning damage, there still isn't enough true fire damage in this game. Regardless if it's on a map, or through the acts, it seems I've wasted countless hours now working on this character, that is essentially useless.

way to many cold resist mobs when I nova in races :P
Ele resist on mobs is just far too abundant. I dotn even bother with anything ele ATM because the mobs in all of the good farming spots all have huge resists which is stupid.

Yeah, so many fire resistant mobs in the weavers chambers. Oops thats lightning resist

Tip: Theres usually a resistance type in every instance, that mobs are generally resistant to. It changes frmo instance to isntance, and I haven't done the math but would assume its about equal chance for each resistance
I use flammability as well, doesn't do much. Every map I enter has fire resistance, EVERY SINGLE ONE.

Im not completely sure thats the case Real_Wolf, I personally find that playing a fire caster is the more grueling and slow than any other element. It could just be that the most farmed places are comprised mostly of fire resistant mobs so it means the majority of the time to level is spent fighting those kinds of mobs.

Just changing areas is not a solution because, seeing as how this game was designed for min/maxers, if a spot is not the most efficient it really isnt even an option to farm and most areas have so many dead ends other dumb shit that doesnt allow it to be smoothly farmed such as docks, ledge, or fellshrine.
@Destroyer agreed. Then with all of the units it's difficult to see if any units have reflect and you end up killing yourself. You can't farm effectively at all.

I would actually prefer immunities.

Being somewhat OCD and being compelled to full clear every instance I would rather some mobs be completely impossible instead of being possible but it takes forever. Just skipping a mob keeps the action going way better than spending an eternity killing something that has 99% resist to your damage type because then the OCD kicks in and says but you can kill these mobs.
