I never amaze to be suprised, but how can a game who is centric on items allow ninja looting all the time?
Why should I be playing with people who Ninja loot all the time?
why should I even recomend a game as such when for example Diablo 3 got it all right?

I would assume a game would support a team based game as long your not into PVP which is a whole different thing.

I you know play for fun and seeing such behaviours being supported by a developer kinda miss the point.
Naturally there might be a hidden fix been worked on or the developer plays the game with friends all the time but I for one dont like adhd kids running around getting stuff that drops for me.

You got a ton of things right, and then miss the one thing about a RTS game?

Loot pickup?

You obviously never played an ARPG prior to diablo 3.

d2, if you were not nut hugging the boss when it died and ( chose a spot on the screen to spam click ) you were getting nothing, not even a white for as many runs as you wanted to run.

diablo3 is terrible it "gives" you loot

I personally don't like the loot system also ( never bothered me in d2 but times have changed for me i guess ) but you always have the option to play solo which I did most of the time while playing the closed beta . The game was more fun for me that way .

Things changed a bit when i started carrying some random templar from general chat who was actually a pretty nice guy , so we shared all the loot and had fun together while running MoC over and over and over again ;] My point is - it's up to you .

"The game is what you make it so player play hard !"

I really hope that you'll find your farming mate in game , the same way I found mine - via RNG :)

*sigh* here's another example of someone who's never played DI and DII. Go play both of those to give yourself a little perspective, then you'll be able to better judge what's good and what's not. If this game isn't your style, don't play, maybe you just don't like H&S, I don't know. But yeah, it's a part of the game.

I did play D1 and D2 the loot system was not bound YES! but it was a mess when you played in a group.. the new system implemented in many games avoid the loot drama and ninja that are usually taking over the communities in games
When I see posts like this all I can think of is that every single person that complains about this played D3 and should probably go back to it.

D3 was the only game of this genre where loot was yours and only yours.

Lol this is when I stopped reading, if you want to play a bad game go play it. Otherwise pick up your loot in the time that they give you. If someone "steals" it from you it just means you were too slow. Seems you are just mad at yourself.

He actually have a fair point, on the other hand I just see you mocking him.

The big thing about the short pick up time, is to make it intensive to get loot. Which actually kinda work, abit too well in the public games.
One thing GGG forgot is how people do whatever they have to, in order to get the items.

Public games can be a big pain in the ass, if one or two is extremely greedy standing over the loot and barely touching the mobs.

Rewarding people for being greedy/selfish is very bad, rewarding people for working together and generally doing a good job is ten times better.

First the timer must be lengthened, it's far too short right now. Secondly, I agree with the OP the gamecentric premise is to adventure and advance in talents and loot...the fact that a dagger/claw that i need drops and a Witch picks it up along with everything else she can click in time is completely ridiculous.

This is a HUGE issue for many players and I think it needs to be addressed.

Until you find out that she shoots Ice Spears and uses daggers.

Not huge fan of FFA loot so mostly playing solo, and entering parties just for matter of fun.
I just had a legendary ninja'd! It was in a public group of course, and I'll be wary of that again. I don't even know who took it, they hide behind anonymity in the public groups. Anyway, I immediately made the group private and kicked anyone who didn't agree to the no-ninja policy. I do not see the benefit of the timer, at least triple the length of time on the timer. Getting everyone on the same page in a group is difficult and annoying. This policy is forcing me to avoid public groups at all cost.

If only this were true. Unfortunately this is very rarely the case.

The time allocation was never intended to give you all the time that you need to pick up all of your loot.
