Some (perhaps new) player's may appreciate them, and it looks like GGG understands this.
I like the idea of doing some action x times, if we could get counters for various things. For example, I would love to know how many total monsters I have killed, and how many of those were rare/unique.

Maybe for monsters killed, give an achievement for every power of 10...
Newbie - Kill 10 monsters
Warrior - Kill 100 monsters
Slayer - Kill 1000 monsters
Conqueror - Kill 10000 monsters
etc...
And keep the counter shown in the achievement tab!

Repeat idea for various other stats.......

Being an amateur crafter of virtual realities myself, i would imp achievements which guide my users toward maximum productivity:
Leet Life- gain at least base 500 health from gear
High Power- achieve at least 4k energy shield
Human Chainsaw- attack 4 times in under a second
Mercury's Merit- achieve a run speed of at least +85%
Farmer's Pride- achieve at least +300% magic find

Perhaps also turning the worst possible outcome of randomness in the game into a badge of honor:
Brandisher of the Flowerless Thorns- gain a thorns affix from an exalted orb

Can we get a pair of new item affixes? One would be Increased Monster Rarity, and the other would be Increased Monster Quantity. At a guess there would be a ring for each of these that rolls up to 5%, with the possibility of rolling the same affix at an additional 5%. The amulet would be up to 10%, with the 5% affix cap being the same. With perfect rolls (including affixes) you could have up to 35% IMR or IMQ, or a combination of both. I'm not sure what other items could roll these affixes but the effect on gameplay would be phenomenal. Being able to increase the amount of enemies or specifically rare ones would be quite fun on, for example, end-game maps that already do this. In addition, I don't think these affixes should be able to roll until at least Cruel difficulty.

Looting an unidentified unique that was allocated to another player(short allocation): "Ninjalooter"

Having an instance created by you expire with an exalt still on the ground: "Expired"

Having your unreserved health reduced to 1%: "Close call"

Surviving a Vaal-smash on all three difficulties.

Kill every base-type mob in a single hit atleast once.

Revive as a spectre every base-type mob atleast once.

Create a zombie from every boss and rogue exile type atleast once.

Land an attack that deals all 5 damage types at the same time.

Land an attack that inflicts 3 different types of damage over time (e.g. a dagger crit with fire, bleed, with adders touch)

Keep a mob frozen for atleast 10 seconds: "Exploiter"

Kill Vaal on all difficulties naked(Wearing no gear but a weapon) (It has been done!)

Travel between two entrances of an instance without dealing damage/all mobs still alive.

Hardcore death on each character type at atleast level 75

100 Hardcore deaths

Gain 25 levels on a character in standard that previusly had gained atleast 25 levels in hardcore

On the off chance you read this, Band Together doesn't seem so great. Try "Kill X boss while in a full group."
