Is this considered a good CoC dagger?

with my passives and critical curse i had at lvl 64 64% crit chance for the attack, not optimal, but with insane attack speed i was having quite a bit of procs.

and again, that dagger costed my 1 chaos because people would pay exalts for 9%crit chance daggers with 1.2 aps but nothing for 7% crit daggers with 1.75 aps

Just curious, you got like 700% increased crit from gear+passive? That would be quite impressive, at lv64 no less. Or are you adding in ~300% from the power charges?

with power charges. But due to very high aps, i can build them quite fast through pcoc-st although i usually use pcoc with tempest shield for trash, and was planning to swap pcoc on ST for bosses if i ever continue that character to actually go mapping.
In regards to Crits per sec or CPS,

base CPS = (base APS)*(base explicit dagger crit%)*[1+(imlicit dagger crit%)+(all other inc crit%)]

Increased attack speed and increased crit% on dagger works the same for all base types, so they are neglected.
Let's call (all other inc crit%) X and calculate CPS for a couple daggers.

1. Ambusher
APS=1.6
exp crit%=6.68%
imp crit%=40%

CPS=10.688*(1.4+X)=14.9632+10.688X

2. Platinum Kris
APS=1.2
exp crit%=6.98%
imp crit%=80%

CPS=8.736*(1.8+X)=15.7248+8.736X

For X>39.02% Ambusher has larger CPS than Platinum Kris.

X is usually >400%, so I can safely say that Ambusher is the best base, all else being equal. Runner-up is probably Poignard & Stiletto, haven't really checked though.

TL;DR:
1. Base APS is much more important than implicit crit %.
2. The difference in base APS is much greater than that in base explicit crit %. So Base APS is also much more important than explicit crit %.
3. Ambusher is the best base for CPS, provided you have the mana regen to handle it of course.

that was my point as well.

but to further support it, if you are using crit weakness as the curse of choice, then aps becomes even more prevalent because of the way crit weakness adds a static increase to critical chance.

it basically modifies your original equation to:
base CPS = (base APS)*(base explicit dagger crit%)*[1+(imlicit dagger crit%)+(all other inc crit%)]+(base APS)*(%increase aps+1)*0,1

the modified addition is strickly tied to base aps and %increased aps, and isn't modified at all from the implicit or base crit chance

poignard and stiletto are the runners up for CPS but just by less than 1% compared to imperial skean. Due to imperial skean having higher damage and thus better mana leech i would value it higher.
