It has been done before, but I for one would not like to play in a game where I could potentially be in a group with a bunch of people who all the same name as me. That would be weird.

You are allowed to choose your own hero name, but it was well known through the closed beta that the final wipe would allow people to keep their character names. Many of us then reserved the names we wanted.

Sorry if this is somehow unacceptable but...'bad bad start' isn't really accurate at all.

Try to be creative with your names. Many of us had to be.
