Someone ruined my day by ninjaing Ouroboros, my 5 year old nick I use for everything. Then I tried Nemesis and Raziel - taken. Then I made a marauder called Django, taken. DjangoUnchained - taken.
EVERY SINGLE NICK TAKEN! *RAAAGE* |

"As a general tip, you are *never* the only one who want to use common names. While I see why you want to use the name Burnie, it's sadly not very uncommon. If you were to stick to it, I bet you'll have a big issue in more or less all games that requires you to have a unique name for your charater. My suggestion is to make a more unique name instead, something that's not very likely someone have already thought about. Look at it this way: I tried EverQuest 2 the other day, and instead of finding a name for my char, I simply clicked Random. And guess what? I had to click four times to find one that wasn't in use. :) When I made my second character there, I first clicked random a few times to find a name I liked, then altered it a bit to suit me better and make it more unique. I'm a fan of the Dead or Alive games, and one of my favorite characters there are Ayane. But it's quite a common name, so naturally it's usually taken. No worries, I just put an 'N' in front and got Nayane. It's worked in every game I've tried. ;) I like Mortal Kombat, but naming my character Kung Lao obviously won't work often. No worrkes, I just change it to Lung Kao, and there you go. ;) As for Burnie, have you thought about Lord Burnie, or something like that? "And that's how you die properly, sailor boy."

Just a suggestion: Make an unusual name and stick with it.
Believe me, Pizzarugi wasn't my first choice. Pizarro (based on a Spanish conquistador) was my first choice, but people have been taking them in several games so I had to improvise. Enter Pizzarugi, bam! PoE players: Our game has a wide diversity of builds.
Also PoE players: The [league mechanic] doesn't need to be nerfed, you just need to play a [current meta] build! And the winds will cry / and many men will die / and all the waves will bow down / to the Loreley |

" You might think statements like this through a bit more before prepending the phrase "point of fact" to them. I see no reason that one non-unique identifier cannot map to multiple unique identifiers. It's been done before. |

" point of fact: i stand by my statement, thank you very little |
