Great Game but FOV is too narrow.

I agree, I would just like to zoom out a LITTLE more. One or two more ticks out (~10 degrees?) FoV would be perfect.

It's to prevent players from shooting enemies that are just off screen, but haven't had their AI activated yet

I hope this isnt' the case because you can easily do this now. To be honest the AI in this game is at 1990 levels, you can exploit the combat to the point that the game is meaningless if you actually care about challenge.
I too am getting really annoyed by enemies constantly shooting me from off screen.

Increase the filed of view dramatically, then impose a range attack range limit so your attacks ( both player and monster ) will always be less than the visible range.

In other words the player should ALWAYS be able to see where an attack is coming from.

God, the whining about games now is getting out of hand.

You CAN always see where an attack is coming from. You see the direction of where the spell or arrow came from, and you react to it.

They obviously intended it so you could get shot by ranged mobs that are far away, they also wanted ranged players to be able to attack far, and not limit their range.

Why can't you just play the game like they intended it?

It's not bad, you just want it changed to suit yourself.

Carebears.

It would be nice to have it out just 1 more tick. I didn't really notice until I started using a bow on my shadow. I'm always holding shift and firing off screen and killing things before they can even react.

It's this kind of rabid nonsensical elitism that ruins honest feedback threads. Don't you think this kind of feedback is valuable to the devs? Feedback is what they want.

Not everyone's eyes are the same. There have been a lot of threads in various places about this issue, where the FOV/zoom actually causes headaches/dizziness for some people. Sure, it's our "problem", but it's one that is going to cause a loss of players and shouldn't be hard to fix.

well sorry to hear that but its only a very few small group of people who are invalide like this and dont function in society.

they havent made the game for people with 1 hand either who who are blind or something. If you cant play games because of dizzyness, drink more water or dont play the game..

on another note: I have a 27" inch widescreen and the game looks perfect. I dont need to scrol out at all.

I know people out there always want to try to make a game look like their old (sjitty) game but ik glad these indy devs dont care about these little whiners, this and then..

nope.. its whining about how they want to change a game to suit their needs screwing over 99% of people who dont whine about it.

POV is good and dont need to be changed.

The ignorance and elitism in this post is disgusting and offensive. If I knew how to report your post I would.

I agree to this issue and would like to see a patch implemented to fix this. even a little bit futher will make a huge differnce
The FOV seems to be fixed in vertical direction. If you switch to windowed mode and decrease the vertical dimension of the window, you get a wider horizontal FOV. This means you see more, the smaller your horizontal screen resolution. Thus, 16:10 (1920x1200) screens show a smaller part of the ground than 16:9 (1920x1080) screens. You can adjust the horizontal FOV in fullscreen mode by using costum screen resolutions in your video driver software (e.g. 1920x900), rendering black bars at the upper and lower part of the screen.

I'd suggest to change the FOV calculation of the game, so it keeps the visible ground area constant instead of scaling the horizontal FOV with the horizontal resolution. This would help users of 4:3 and 16:10 screens. However this also would interfere with multi screen setups, I guess.
