Damn crabs!
The normal crabs are bad enough, but as a clvl 33 ranger in the ruthless/tidal passage 1, I had to give up trying to kill this (lvl 35) crab boss...I couldn't take his life down.

Dont forget +182% and +50% maximum life that support the 1.2% hp regen by alot :P Anyway i hate crabs since start ,mostly because they need to be killed 2 times like no other mob in game ;/ |

While it's intentional for bosses to be hard, this does need some tweaking. The crabs are going to be changed so that it's faster/easier to target the second form.

I ran into a construct in Chaos with those 2 exact mods... It wasn't fun.

" Just to make it clear, I don't think the bosses as they are right now are too hard. (Apart from lag, about the only things in the game I really fear atm are Alira's detonate dead and, to some extent, Merveil's cold snap...well, and the circus clowns, of course). What was funny about this boss wasn't that he was dangerous (he wasn't) but just that with his high life, life regen, and what seems like the high damage reduction of crabs (yuk!) I couldn't kill him. Not sure if the poison da from poison arrow (my main attack) stops life regen or not, but even if it does it didn't help much. I fought this crab for about 10 mins and never got him below 80% life. Maybe at a higher lvl or using some clever skill combos I could've killed him, but no real problem: I just parked the crab and went on to the rest of the lvl... In general, I'd actually like to see harder, more threatening bosses, without introducing any one hit kills e.g. bosses with more skills, maybe mobs of blue minions with yellow bosses, and so on...I'm sure things liek this are on the way. :) |

Bosses with special and unique skills would be very nice.
I did make a post in the suggestion forum about how vampire mobs could be ( http://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/3567 ) That is just a suggestion to how some special mobs could be, not just a standard mob with more HP and stuff like that. There should be different types/levels of vampires. From young ones to old, elder and ancient ones. And the older they get, the more their powers have grown. And the older the are, the less human they look. All vampires should have a very powerful life leech. So maybe they heal for three times the damage they can do. If a vampire is badly wounded and there are other (none vampire) mobs near it, it will fall back and use life leech on one of them in order to heal. If a creature dies within a radius of X meters from a dead vampire, that vampire will be resurrected with life points based on the creature that died. Maybe they can summon undead monsters to support them. The young vampires can just summon a few slow zombies, then older ones can summon skeleton archers, then undead spell casters. And the olderst one might be able to have a few ethereal Wraiths that can pass through walls if you run away in panic. Mobs that kills you in one hit, that is horrible in games like this, so better if you need some skills or fast legs. |
