I don't think running any ele damage based skill is good for this build, so leave glacial strike, etc and keep with heavy strike. Especially if you have a qual one, which adds attack speed.

Another thing you missed here is life and mana leech. Since this is mainly a physical damage build, not having a shitload of either is quite a shame in my opinion.

Did I skip the part where Molten Shell with life on hit was not recommended?

Also, you run a high stun build yet you use a sword for recommended item?

The passive build here is spot on, I love it. This is pretty much perfect if you don't plan a blood magic build. So for me, the only 2 viable melee dmg passive builds for marauder are yours and mouzs' ( for blood magic).

Hope to see more :).

Ele damage that scales off of physical damage is absolutely insane, It gives heavy strike 3k+ DPS easily. Glacial is simply there for people who want to try other things out, I like to give people options when creating my builds.

Warlords mark + Bloodrage = Easy life leech cap, Warlords also gives mana leech, why would you need more than 3% mana leech with this build.

The sword isn't at all recommended it was a follow up to someone asking to show my equips

Molten shell indeed can be added on with this build, however it's completely dependent on your playstyle. this build is still in testing and isn't finished

Yeah you get a lot of paper dps, but in reality 80% of the mobs are ele resistant and barely 1-2 mob bosses per act get physical reduction, which doesn't reduce damage as much.

Molten shell should be a must, since you are a melee. That extra insane armor can help a lot of times, especially if you have a lower level gear and get a lot of physical damage.

Also yeah, you actually don't even need more than 2% mana leech :). But the life leech should be at least over 6% imo.

Btw got any tips on how to get Piety on cruel with this build? I died about 4 times and got her to around 30% hp before I forgot to set up a safe tp, died, and rage quit xD

I got 1800 hp, around 80 hp/s regen but low armor ( 29% phys reduction) and I can't change my gear because I'd lose my max resistances.

This is fun lol

About the paper dps, I see where you're coming from however it really is an insane jump on damage. The reason being you have 2 elements, Fire + Cold so even if one has a certain resistance you still can deal the other type, and for the mobs with + all resists, i'm pretty sure they have a lower resist to specific elements opposed to the ones that are like " Resist Fire " so the dps is basically the same on those as well since you're using 2 elements. Regardless to say you still kill them in like 4-5 hits lol. If you think about it realistically if you're a caster you can still easily kill mobs with resist towards your element even without curses :D

I still never really thought of the molten shell lol, the more I think about it the better it sounds when you're under geared. I'll definitely give this a go and really appreciate that you took the time to read find some flaws in the build

As for how to get to her, swap to dual wield offhand with crazy attack speed with haste and just jump to her lol xD

as for the leech, I also agree it's more demanding how compared to how it was back then. But just remember a quality bloodrage = 10% Leech, and warlords is 6% Max ( or Higher ) Already puts you at 16%. This is end game of course

a Tip for the resistances, run a quicksilver ( 20% ) with +20%+ Resists and keep it going all the time. With decent kill speed it shouldn't be hard

sorry if I don't make sense, 5Am and about to pass out
Oh, by the way, I know it's still under construction, but what about bandit's rewards? Which one should I pick for each difficulty?
Dual hand would get me less damage as all the damage nodes from this build are 2h. Plus I got a good reaper axe with culling and I wouldn't drop that for any dual.

As far as Piety goes, I couldn't solo her at all. So I decided to make a party and got 6 people to kill her in just under a minute. Will do that in the future too, since it takes ages to get to her and she's a real bitch for melees to handle.

Also, regarding elementals, I just remembered: ele reflecting mobs. If you're unlucky you can even kill yourself before you notice their aura xD. I never have that issue with physical build. Plus, the life leeched amount is way less. If you run ele damage, life or mana leech becomes useless. Imo it would be better to get life or mana on hit/kill.

Oh and by cruel, I think at least half mobs have 2 ele resists. I imagine by merciless it is even worse.

Yeah I got at least 1 hp flash with resist. I keep one to remove curses, one for resists, 1 for armor and 1 for speed, and at least 2 of them have increased/instant recovery which is a must from cruel, past act 1.

Also to answer Miyavi: I always go with the skill point. You can get better resists from a passive node with that skill point, you can get hp, damage, etc with a node and it helps you progress your build. I see no real advantage of getting anything beside that ( with frenzy/endurance charges being a possible exception).
I think you have Anger and Hatred aura descriptions mixed around :)

You will take 5% of your damage from ele reflect and it'll just get healed by leech, and as for the dual wield it's simply for mobility not for damage, you use it as a weapon swap
Could use some help guys:

I started using this build and around level 45 I sold my Maul for a better sword. Oops! I didn't realize I couldn't use Sweep anymore, so I equipped Cleave.

And to make matters more frustrating, I traded for this nice unique Maul.

The question is, should I depend on Sweep or stay with Cleave? Or should I keep Cleave in the Sword and place the weapon on switch mode with my new Maul?
What about the Bandits-Rewards? Skill-Point every time or not. I know it's under "construction" but maybe you got a quick response to complete.
