What else do you lose?
Temp chains is pretty unbearable with maze on every map but I'd way rather have implicit maze than not. Just reroll temp chains.

I will not, under any circumstance, do extra projectiles and demons, especially if it is like 50% life regen or some bad curse. The only thing that came really close to killing my duelist was a combination of voidbearers and retches with GMP.
Unless you use arctic armor.

Last time I checked I still had my whole stash and currency in my stash after ripping my last NM toon to standard. There is literally no difference between a SC character I dont play anymore and a HC char I die to SC. Both are not ever played again besides off skilltree resets for testing.

you lose a stable economy if you continue playing in SC
you lose anything you accumulated in your stash if you continue playing in SC
you lose the ability to play with friends in that league
if you ever do group play you lose the ability to play with good players. public parties in SC are just repeated deathfests
so it's either that or you reroll in HC, which is essentially the same thing as permadeath/losing the character. barely any HC player will die and then continue playing in softcore. don't get technical about the fact that the character is still there.
