how do you respec

Do i hate making new characters? not at all. But there is a limit. Browsing the Witch class forums alone, there is fire/ice/lightning builds, summoner builds, and hybrids with a mix of each. Rather than being able to test each of these builds through respeccing, i would need to level 5+ characters to find out which playstyle i liked best. That is just for the Witch class.

Nobody is going to enjoy reading up on all these builds before they even get to play the game, for worry of messing up their build in a terrible way. Certainly they will not enjoy getting to level 80 only to discover they made a fatal mistake.

I am looking before i leap. That is why ive had these forums open for the last few hours whilst the game is being downloaded. I am no fool, ive min/maxed in most MMOs i play.

I agree a game should be challenging. But i do not consider making players level from 1-80 to try out new builds a challenge. WoW wouldve died a long time ago if they made players do that.

But still, i am new to the game, this system may be perfectly fine. I am just expressing concerns that ive had after spending a few hours here. I have no ill will towards the game at all. Infact, it has finished downloading, so its time to play. Although i still have no build planned out well!

No, I wasn't punished. It was actually the other way around. I don't see how fewer hours of playing is better than the game lasting longer...
