WinMtr Results! PLEASE HELP!!!
can you explain why my drivers are crashing every single time the disconnect occurs??? im having the worst time solving this issue and the fact that my drivers are crashing 100% of the time the disconnect occurs seems like a huge think to look into yet you seem to think thats not it at all......in a simple answer can you explain why my drivers may be crashing then?

just attempted the disconnect 35 times and 35 times my drivers crashed and recovered simultaneously, yet they are not related AT ALL...this is mind boggling to me, i understand why under normal circumstances the network and graphics are not interrelated but is there not some crazy fluke situation that could be occurring....can someone please explain this to my simple brain WILL PAY FOR POE

When the system freezes up for a moment, due to a bottleneck in the video card or something, the heartbeat packets stop acknowledging the connection with the server, so the server thinks you've disconnected and closes the game on their end. When your system unfreezes, the program finds itself disconnected by the server.
More diagnostics and error messages are a good way to narrow down what the problem is. Without the information, we're basically just guessing. If you are getting the video driver crashed and recovered like that, it's likely you have hardware problems, like overheating. It might also be some buggy version of the driver. Update the driver and hope you don't need a new video card or power supply. I don't believe the video card crashing is causing the packet loss along your route. Whatever the cause, it begins at your ISP, and is their responsibility to fix. It just indicates very busy routers at the ISP, so you might be getting disconnected from your route along the internet too. |

Also if you have any "custom settings" on the video card such as memory timings or overclocking, I recommend to disable them all and take it back to "default" values or perhaps even underclocked just to make sure that isn't a cause of the video card crash.

" Uhh... the FIRST thing you posted in this thread was a WinMTR and help deciphering it. We didn't ASK you to run it. You ran it and wanted us to tell you what it said. Second, most disconnect problems are NOT related to graphic driver crashes. Your instance was unique. That's what happens with proprietary hardware configurations and MULTIPLE hardware configurations. PC Gaming isn't like console gaming where everything inside everyone's systems are identical. If this were an xbox, then you'd have a VERY specific set of hardware and software. We could easily diagnose issues because EVERYONE would have similar problems based on certain things. Finally, you have to remember that the support people here do NOT have access to your PC or your hardware/software configuration. We can only help with what we are SHOWN. If you don't give us a full picture, we can only diagnose and troubleshoot the issues that you show us (error messages, etc). You discovered the driver crash afterward and connected it to the same times as your disconnect. No one else here has the access to your machine to even CHECK those things. I'm glad you got it fixed, but I think you need a bit of an attitude change considering all the different people who legitimately attempted to help you (and other users) with problems. They don't get paid for this. They are donating their time to help people enjoy this game. Show a little more respect please. Last edited by Drakier#1520 on Jan 4, 2014, 1:50:29 PM
