You asked me what I did to get the rod to drop. I did all those things, and the rod dropped, not only that but I've wasted the past couple of days trying to get one for you too. So what's the issue? I made it very clear long before I responded to any of your questions that there could well be other ways to get the rod to drop.
Here's an idea. Completely ignore everything I told you. Don't take any of the steps I suggested, and don't use any of the gear that I told you to. Then come back and tell me you found a rod.
And as for your final question, I think that's for you to ask them, not me. Perhaps they'd like to go back over the advice I posted and see if they were following it at the time, either inadvertently or intentionally. I'm willing to bet all the currency I have that at least part of the advice I gave was totally legit.

Stuff like that happened a couple of patches ago as well. Then it was super-quickly removed from the realm as well, and Chris (iirc) told us that fishing is a dev-only-realm thing, and should not be able to leak to the general realm, unless glitches during patching process occur.

I live in Cambodia and play from a 3G connection tethered to my phone, I can hardly watch other people's streams let alone host my own. I'll install fraps now and see if I can make a vid to upload, but frankly being rude isn't going to help. I don't owe you anything, and I already posted the original rod, long before the dude referenced by the OP I might add. Go check the albino rhoa thread, I posted my rod roughly 30 hours ago and have been crafting it ever since. I'm aiming to get IQoF, IRoF and cast speed, not going to settle for anything else unless it's a unique.

I am indifferent to this fishing rod stuff really.
My observation about verified, was just that - an observation, followed by a suspicion ( arising from the many many very unwitty, unfunny posts in threads by people who probably are considered hilarious in their own social circles and a veritable Oscar Wilde and what not!).
Maybe someday some of the handful who have this super-secret rod, and who apparently always either keep it in inventory, or use up a few thousand different orb on it all the time (so it cant be stashed for any length of time), will get tired and stick it in a stash, and then link it (and keep it in stash).
Until then...*shrug* I suppose.
Edit: I also dont see this as warranting any type of namecalling either!

linking what you 'have' in stash would be much faster and cheaper - with 'verified' ofc. fraps vid also can be 'modified' (unlike twitch stream)
in my book 'wasted air' is not rude - it is common phrase used when someone cannot provide ANY backing to his/her extreme theories but instead provides even more un-backed theories
