Server Locations

Since this is a game being developed by New Zealanders, I'd imagine we would get a nearby server fairly soon after release.
Will the Oceania servers be released when the game is released? Or will Australian/New Zealand Players have to wait after the game is released? |

I'm sure there will be a larger demand for an Aus/NZ server after the game gets released, it's bound to happen.
But by then you'll have more than enough money to support it. ^_^ I know you guys will be successful! Happy Days Abound.

What's your ping to us server (pathofexile.com) form AU/NZ?
below 200 ms? I got around 150 to pathofexile.com (dallas, tx same as server location prolly) from central/eastern europe. | |

" I think yes, it's below 200 ms (around 150 if I recall correctly from someone's post), and it's pretty much playable from NZ and from Europe too without any kind of noticeable lag. |

i wouldnt worry about europe its fairly obvious we will get our own server. id probably still play on the american though as you just know your going to get alot of non english spam as per usual
depending on how chat will work anyway if you started getting an asian following (doubtful) then a server around there/aus would be beneficial for alot of people covering a fairly large area |

It doesn't really seem to work that way. I'm in aus and generally get better pings to the US than to asian places, despite the greater distance. It's the way the infrastructure is laid out. The aus link to the US goes through NZ across the pacific to the west coast of the US.

always loved watching friend rage after dieing in diablo 2 hardcore on chars they spent 3 weeks grinding nonstop with the best gear, due to a lagspike on the long likes to US for once id love to see a game only have servers outside of the US :P see how they deal when a game doesnt have under 50 ping
