dying to reflect is like breaking up with a girlfriend.
you both know its not meant to be anymore and that you should just go on without eachother. wait no that has nothing to do with reflect , its an annoying mechanic dumbing down builds. you cant go full glasscannon because of it. and that is hurting the game more then it benefits imho. you can still go mrsupermegaoverdrive HP dmg mitigationlord3000 and it is just as "gamebreaking" as oneshotting most mobs would be at a high cost - which is being damn near defenseless. sadly the current design does not really allow the high risk high reward gameplay. PoEs balance revolves around having a balanced build , thus by definition there is no freedom for speccing your character into this or that. freedom is an illusion in PoE. sure you can play some marauder deep into witchtalents and imply that you are one of a kind (you probably are) but that doesnt mean you are actually efficient. in order to be efficient you´ve to take these boring HPnodes (speaking only out of melee experience) , take a few armor/wpndmg nodes , TAKE these endurance charges take that maximumlife booster and then ... youve a few more points left for what. ye pretty much nothing extraordinary. such is life as a 2h user. balance is key and balance can often lead to a boring lvling curve where after a while you dont feel like pushing yourself because you know you only grow a lil itty bitty bit by investing into the last remaining HP nodes in your reach or a few more mace/sword/axe nodes. or better yet the increased aura nodes? or the increased eledmg by 1/3rd of your 1/3rd hatred aura ? wow it´s fascinating so deep and complicated in PoE you can build so many chars but only selected few actually are playable without many problems on their own. it´s never a good idea to depend on others in PoE but maybe that´s just me. im well aware of supporting builds , heavytanks with decoy totem and whatnot , or ranged glasscannons which die to the slightest fart that touches them. but reflect is not the main reason why players need to balance offence and defense to use their brains. it´s simple math of additive monster dmg and life. if a monster outscales me in dmg , ive to invest into more dmg OR get his dmg reduced. if a monster outscales me in the lifedepartment and he kills me very fast , then you are probably undergeared or fighting shock and horror. |

" Immortal call procs first time for 1 second, what then? You don't have endurance charges. But you wouldn't know anything about that since you play scrubcore and you don't need to know mechanics there to achieve midlevels. @Aelloon
