Default league price madness
There are still legacy items in D2 on their standard league. Same thing will happen here, years from now a 1000 health Kaoms and +2 bow skill Silverbranch will be merely a whisper

" looting lots of fusings uniques in under an hour or two is more fun then looting nothing in 3 hours of mapping to me. the sad reality of PoE right now is that you dont get rich by mapping , you get rich by doing endless lunaris pietyies / or skip to domino pizzeria runs then sell high buy low - flip currency if you can. that is why the progression scale into lategame is inherently broken. there is literally 0 reason to do highlvl maps besides for highIlvl whites to gamble upon. if that is your way of having fun go at it , im in no position to judge you or the rest of the playerbase to tell you whats fun and what isnt. some people want to be rewarded with items in a you know ... itemfinding game. |

" Another strictly scrubcore-only problem. Maps are fine in nemesis. Rares sell, uniques sell, everything decent sells. Even boss kills sell (20c in an hour first time I've done it today). I get whispers left and right on my 1fuse items, 1c, 2c, 3c, etc. This would never happen in standard. Too much inflation not enough demand. Why would a noobie feel the need to get a higher life roll or fill a missing resistance at level 30? Meh, he'll just tough it out until he gets his late game items, maybe die 30 times in the progress, don't matter. In HC, everyone is constantly maxing out their gear in every possible way to stay alive. That poopy +60 life, 35 cold helmet could be JUST what needs to cap 75 cold res, sold for 1c! And there are plenty of people reeping every day, a healthy amount of items are exiting the league. Considering everybody wears the best gear possible for their character, if they rip they're taking out GOOD items out of the league, significantly reducing inflation and creating a healthy supply and demand. Standard sucks. I have about 6 chars on standard that I used to play strictly for the action part of the game but I got into the trading aspect a while back and have never touched standard again Last edited by woodyfly#3854 on Dec 16, 2013, 6:52:05 AM

" There is no point to make selffound league in online game. Why dont play solo games then? I actually found Sacred2 to be a perfect SFL (selffound league) game. You can even change game balance to fit your own demands (files with game data are .txt ones, and open for modify). Want 10x droprates? Easily! Critical damage 2x? Easily! Tougher enemies? Easily! Whole game is at your command. IGN: MortalKombat

" Mapping is quite effective for gaining experience. Just wanted to put that out there :-/ So we have the ilvl whites, the map only uniques, and the experience gain. At least that's 3 reasons... |

Ionno, the rates seem pretty solid for the last month or two.. And I think this is the best we've ever had the rates at. I sure as heck don't miss the days of 20 or 25 GCP for 1 Exalt. I'm fine with the current 9. :P

" Well, i wont argue that for healthy economics, some kind of item sink is needed. However, in hardcore, item sink is too harsh. I personally dont want to play ONLINE game where with just one failure i will lose everything (well, not everything, stash remains, but most valuable items and tons of time to level char are gone). And that even shouldnt be my own failure. PC hangs? Strong desync? Congratulations, you've lost everything. Build diversity? Nah, get shitload of HP and automated defences. Skill? Press alt+F4 as fast as you can. Challenge? No, run away from any apparently tough pack/boss and skip them. Am i right? I agree with you, something should be done to remove good items out from game. Maybe, just dont do it all at once, perhaps, adding "durability" to items, which reduces by 10-20% at death (item cant be repaired, of course). At least, player will be aware that some of his items are close to break and will seek for replacement. And we'll probably see dirt cheap Kaoms, close to break, for "hardcore" players :) I just dont the way item sink ismade in HC leagues. It is highly discoraging when you die yourself one-two times.
