Dropped 5 items with 5-link, all of them were weapons.
Spent about 500 orbs to get my Soul Mantle 5-linked (and a ton of scraps). Never seen a 6-link, never got one after spending about 800 fusing orbs (500 on Soul Mantle, 300 on a white chest). This crappy socketing/linking system has to stop, it manages to beat D3 at the contest for the worst crafting system... |

The one tiny silver lining is when crafting works out it's a thrill. I've had that horseshoe lodged up there so far, chance orbs have given more rares than magic, gotten several 4 links in a single try, gotten perfect color combinations in a single chrome. When drops weren't happening I made my own items.
The harder it is to get something, the more of a reward it is when you finally do. But I can feel the frustration of people who spend thousands with no success. On the other hand, would anyone be happy with a system where it was easy to get 5 or 6 links? No mention by anyone of the improved % chance by putting quality on items. Guess it's negligible? "When you have a hammer, everything looks like a nail."

Got 6l with only 2 fusings on ilvl 80 saintly chainmail. No kidding. Does anyone want to kill me ? :)

" Maybe that's why 6-linking an item usually goes this way: 1. Waste your time and farm-farm-farm. 2. Stack up a line of fusings (240) or two, or more. 3. Burn them and get 2-2-2 or 3-3 or 4-1-1 or whatever except 6l. 4. Say: Ty, Jesus! 5. Go back to n.1. I really hate craft in this game. I really do. And I think that it would not be possible to make it any more frustrating and blunt. And I do not understand why it has to be this way. Cause the concept is good. But every time I think of crafting a thing I start to remember that twitch video with some guy trying to 6l his Voltarix. It took him more than 7000 fusings to do so. spent at least 250 fusings trying to 4-link my gloves
i stopped playing for a few weeks after that lol |

System is fine. Fusing is just another part of this gambling game. The whole game is one massive gamble right down to gambling with your time farming to maybe get a good drop, this is what makes the game so addictive. IMO the only way to make a god item better is more links and this should be extremely hard to do. Don't try and 5 or 6 link something unless it is amazing.

I used a fusing on my main chest insted of a chromatic destroying the 6 link.
I cryed inside a bit Just a sec let me grab a beer...@#*@ Ok how did I die this time

1. 6L is END GAME (like best in slot item property) - it's supposed to be hard to get.
If you could get "best in slot" items easily, game would be crap. 2. Crafting system in this game is AWESOME. 3. People who say they got 6L under 100 fusions 3 times in a row are LYING. *horror story - spent 4100 fusing trying to 6L my armour (0 6L, 28 5L) |
