I neither consider myself an atheist or a theist, I disagree with the original premise of existence of metaphysical entities.

My goal in this thread was to explain what atheism/agnosticism is.

Secular definition of theism/atheism:

Theists are people who believe in god/gods.
Atheists are everyone that are not theists.

You are implying that belief is always tied with institutional religion which is false.

An example of something i was referring to would be that generally atheists believe claims need to be proved before you believe in them.

Atheism is a religion/belief the same way not playing baseball is a sport.
