Vitality Aura
" To answer your question: I could care less if my zombies die. Traveling to multiple zones replacing my specters is another matter entirely. The annoyance and time cost has nothing to do with snapshotting. Any fool can criticize, condemn and complain and most fools do.

do NOT turn this into another god damn snapshotting thread

" 1.65 becomes ~3% on an aura build, not great but really good for summoners or RF. i would love to see a moderate buff to it though, something like 2.5% at lvl20 instead of 1.6% |

Why not buff vitality and make it reserve % of your life, so it wouldnt become OP with a reduced mana gem etc.

Yes, really odd that. All auras are not good for all builds but good for some.
Very surprising. |

how is it op with a reduced mana gem, every aura in the game can use a reduced mana gem.
buffing vitality even alot would not justify making it reserve life. Last edited by Saltychipmunk#1430 on Feb 11, 2014, 11:01:26 AM

As with a lot of things, bonuses in isolation are lackluster, it is the stacking of bonuses that allow you to do some interesting things.
If the Aura was a lot stronger then it would create balance problems. I am not a huge fan of generic mana reservation, 40% of mana if you have no real mana to speak of isn't really much of a sacrifice, it is if you have tons of mana, the percentile mana reservation reduces the effectiveness of numerous nodes, stats and gear. One 40% aura might be reserving a small amount of mana for one player and a ton of mana for another player and provide the exact same benefit. I find that problematic. I'd rather see all auras have a specific amount of mana reserved for whatever effect or provide a scaling buff so the more mana that is reserved by the aura the greater the effect of the aura, the buff might only be small-ish but wouldn't penalise you as much as the generic percentile reservation system does at present. | |
" This actually isn't such a bad idea. Hatred 15% physical damage added as cold + 1% per 20 mana reserved. So, if you have 1000 mana and hatred reserves 25% of it after all reductions, it will add 27% physical as cold. But, if you need only hatred and reserve 60% of your mana for it, you will get 45% damage added. Very customizable, I like it. Wish the armchair developers would go back to developing armchairs.

" Also potentially massively OP for Eldritch battery users :/ |

My ES/Zealoth's Oath build runs it on Chaos Damage maps only (swap out Anger, swap in Vitality) as my ES does not auto-regenerate on those maps.
