This is just... nevermind. Yeah Dominus is a good dude bro, he just runs his little harmless theocracy, nothing crazy. He just exiles criminals, he's a gud dood.

As other people have posted, Dominus is pretty obviously bad because he's a Hitler expy. However, it would be nice if the game gave a good reason for why Dominus does what he does. I understand that the game is not really story-focused, but even still, I find GGG's work with Dominus (as a character) to be a little lazy. As far as I remember, out of all the dialogues in the game (I have gone and read them all) Dominus is only really mentioned once by Tarkleigh at the very beginning of the game, and then not at all until after you've killed Piety and are getting to the end of Act III. To my knowledge, there is no mention of what Dominus' plans are, or why he turns into the demon-beast-thing he turns into after you kill him in the end fight. Even if the game does not prioritize story, I would prefer to at least have some kind of in-game connection between Dominus and the game's general story progression. Currently, Piety feels like the main villain: you see her throughout the game, you work to stop her thoughout the game, and the influence of her mad designs are felt throughout the game. Dominus, in comparison, feels badly fleshed out, especially since he turns into a demon for no reason. Thus, I would really like to see a few extra dialogues added (especially to Act II and III) explaining Dominus' role in the game's story. That said, the game is not story-focused, so I doubt I'll get my wish (though the Piety story change does give me a bit of hope).

What makes you think Dominus is "bad" or that our characters are "good"? The primary motive for most of the characters seems to be revenge(except in the case of Templar, where the primary motive is pants).

Let's not forget that the reason the Templar and Marauder have no pants is that Homer thought they were pie pants and ate them. Doh!

The Zapp Branigan look is all the rage these days.

The southern hemisphere people are viewing everything upside down. The male characters should have the pants and the female characters should have the Zapp Branigan look. Get it right GGG!
