Getting Pretty Sick Of The Stupid Dmg Scaling in This Game
The consensus of this thread is mindbogglingly.
The guy has very high life 90%+ damage reduction near highest possible res against a first time enemy. With nearly best defensive stats possible.. Still 1 shot. The consensus? Kite at range. Since most bosses will be this way and with no way to determine if its a non kiteable boss is to be 1 shot..you should never be melee. Everyone should always be ranged. That's basically what this thread states. No actual positive feedback to improve the mechanic.. Just rabid fanboyism drenches in elitism. |

Armor is worse at taking huge hits than small ones.
Personally I will get 2-3 hits in then whirling blades through and repeat to avoid hits. Or build up reave and keep my distance (I have temporal chains on curse on hit) Analyze, Adapt, and Ask the devs to change it.

What were the map mods? Because I have roughly the same stats, and can take at least 3 hits by him.

" That isn't the consensus at all. That map boss can not onehit him with those stats period. He has to at least crit him twice(with 2nd hit coming while he is shocked). |

Easy steps: 1.Use enfeeble before getting hit unless you want to die and complain on forums.
2. Use normal decoy totem or spell totem with skeletons (by normal i mean cast it manually and use 18-20lvl totem). |

You have a BoR, he should be missing every attack while Enfeebled.
This is why I manually cast instead of using CwDT. |

And there is NOTHING to correct about mechaninc, OP is hiding us some info for sure, it's IMPOSSIBLE to get 1 hitted by that boss, PERIOD And, instead of changing mechanic, change your playstyle, LOL, learn to adapt to situations, don't expect that every fuking game will suit you goddamn tastes. |

@OP I had similar expirence on that map (with -max resists, boss deals more dmg and attacks faster and few other modes that dont matter) with my duelist lvl76. Easy way to avoid 1 shots is to throw decoy at max range from boss and while he moves to totem you need to jump to boss and use viper strike. I keep viper strike on weapon swap linked with inc duration(3rd link should be faster attacks, lvled empower is way better then faster attacks if you can get it) in fast weapon with +2 to melee skills (dps of weapon doesnt matter, attack speed does), something like linked weapon. Then just run around and refresh dots. Boss should die very fast ( if you have high lvl Viper strike).

" Dont know if I believe. But I believed it possible. My 72 was doing catacombs and through out entire time playing.. I never once had to be afraid of ancestral bond. I could stand in 3-4 beams and not care..especially with lifesteal at 15% and 4.5k life max res...till I came across 1 that instajibbed me un about a second. Hence my 72 now in standard. Whether or the op ia 100% truthful i believe the senario possible. |

Damage scaling IS stupid in this game, for example, the dungeon boss (lv 66) still hit tons of damage when you are like lv 80
And his little wave will kill you even if you have the slightest lag or desync To counter this I just leave those maps for my ranged toon, which can kill it without letting him come into my screen |
