Don't you think Kraityn's reward is underpowered?

%1 helps kraityn (never seen)

I was that 1%, when I just started this game and knew too little =) So it's ok for noobs.

I've never heard of anyone helping Alira though.

I used it for my GS marauder w/o BM and with tons of auras.
I think the resists help a ton with a Ranger build. There's not many resist nodes at all for her. And if you're going melee you definately need them.

Items... Unless you've got a few characters lvl 50+ and some good items you will struggle to get resists up to scratch in merciless.

I'm taking them with my evasion acrobatics Ranger I'm building at the moment because there's hardly any other way to get resists at a decent cost on the ranger skill tree.

Also, ele res is a suffix, so is MF, you can't max out your resists from gear and still be wearing a full MF outfit. You can if you go with Krait all 4 times. That's important to consider because you can't use the passives to get MF, but ultimately, you can use the reward to do so.

This is a good point, I understand the MF argument now.

Yup thats all there but how many skill points do you need to spend to get them all?

Certainly can't be done as efficiently as the 32% resist all for taking the resists as the bandits reward and thats the difference.

Skill point efficiency is also a good point, but in the case of Templar I still have to disagree. Most templars will get Body & Soul anyway for the armor/ES bonus, that's +10. Many will also get Celestial Walker for the elemental damage, that's +20. The 2nd Body & Soul cluster is not as common, but many Templar builds will head to the mara area anyway for Resolute, Elemental Adaptation, or Troll's Blood/life passives and Diamond Skin is right there... that's +35 all res and you also get armour and elemental damage to boot. You get the all res practically for free.

I don't think it's a problem with the number value of the reward, it's the fact that resistance is so easy to get later on that it can become overkill to get the reward. If you could respec the bandit rewards it wouldn't be a bad idea to grab them early on. But it sucks having an extra 32% resist than you no longer have a need for instead of having 4 skill points or 180 extra life.

voting for +1% max-resist for reward <3

might be to stronk tho..

How about the MF point I made? There aren't any IIQ/IIR nodes to spend your skill points on, and you won't be able to max out your resists just from gear while wearing double MF suffixes instead of ele res. I bet if he straight up offered you the MF stats that you can gain from taking his current reward, you wouldn't think it was such a crap deal.

Look at it from point of view as a Templar who took Diamond Skin.

It took 4 skill points to get there and I got 15% resist all. Alternately, instead of using those 4 skill points I could've taken the resists as the Bandits reward, (x4), and gained an additional 17% resist all over the points used to take Diamond Skin.

I do acknowledge your point is valid though, "if" the build requires taking other Marauder nodes in the same area.

Myself, I'll def be taking the resists in OB if the quest rewards remain unchanged.
OB: BazzVone - 83 Dual Spork Totem Templar /w CI and minions
CB: BazzVfourteen - 80 Dual Spork Totem Templar /w CI
CB: BazzVtwo - 73 Dual Spork Totem/LS Templar
CB: BazzVseven - 76 Lightning Strike Mara
CB: BazzVfive - 78 Lightning Strike Mara
I helped Kraytin with my first char, mainly because I was planning to go CI so Oak was out of the question and Ele resists seem better than the 40 mana to me :)
Turned out it was a good choice, as I'm usually having troubles with capping the resists.

With my second char now, I would have helped Kraytin as well, but I needed the skill point :(
I died inside a bit, I think I grew fond of Kraytin :D He's my favourite of all the bandits.
