But the phys dmg increase for instance does apply to both weapons. So for a blender (1h x2 cyclone) it's pretty good.
Was the block chance 20% then? Thanks for doing your previous tests...was just thinking about this last night :)
You get a base block chance of 35% if you duel wield the swords (Just did it live so I'm 100% sure of this)

The swords do NOT receive bonuses from armor sockets.

The swords do NOT receive bonuses from the other sword's sockets if both are equipped. For example, if both swords have 1 green + 2 red sockets each:

sword one => 12% global attack speed + 50% sword damage
sword two => 12% global attack speed + 50% sword damage

Testing this on a trapper with 30% increased physical damage (30 is from str bonus):

100 base damage on sword => 230 (which is 50% + 50% + 30% = 100 + 50 + 50 + 30 = 230)

I'm just wondering if the swords are broken and are suppose to use armor sockets as well since I have no idea how you're suppose to get white sockets on the sword....

Also, just to clarify why these swords actually are pretty terrible at producing damage on their own:

All damage mods from the skill tree + items affect the BASE damage of the sword - in this case, that is a top end damage of ~100.

This is an issue because, even with 200% increased damage + 150% (from the 3 red sockets on both swords) makes a total of 350% increased damage. Apply this to 100 base damage and you get: 100 + (100*3.5) = 450 phys damage / sword. This is NOT high enough to adequately penetrate end game mobs. You need ~1k phys dmg / hit to not have most of your damage mitigated by armor.

Compared to two 200 base physical damage 1h weapons.. apply 200% increased phys dmg to it and you'll get 200 + 2*200 = 600 phys damage / weapon.

Melee physical damage support gem and all %physical mods on gems are also seriously reduced using the prismatic eclipse blades instead of high damage 1h weapons.

I really wanted to make a duel wielding duelist using 2 prismatic eclipse blades but I just can't see it producing a viable amount of damage... Maybe if I get Bring of Rain... Or just focus on getting all +physical damage mods as possible.
Thanks Worg.

My guess is they are dipping the toe so toe speak and don't want to release an end game weapon with this much variability on it.

Also, we "may" see a white socket recipe in the next patch, although I am not in the alpha so that'd be what we here call spekkylation.
I'm currently playing a level 44 Duelist who eventually dual wield Prismatic Eclipses. The physical damage may be meh at endgame, but elemental damage, which I will be getting primarily from Anger, Wrath, & various aura passives, should scale very well with 72% increased attack speed and dual strike supported by multistrike
I'm at lvl 71 blender i just got 2 of these swords. I have about 1.9k base dps with these swords 66% block atm. Haven't optimized anything yet will try tomorrow.
Cyclone build with dual g-g-w sockets.
My elemental Dual Strike 2xPrismatic Eclipse blender build works fairly well. I have 3 green sockets on both weapons, and I'm currently limited to a 4L consisting of Dual Strike, Weapon Elemental Dmg, Multistrike, & Life Leech. A 5L would be ideal, as I could include both Melee Splash (if solo or otherwise needed) & Life Leech, or possibly Faster Attacks, Mana Leech, or Blind.

I'm always playing in a party of two others: an LMP Cybil's Paw Incinerate caster (who also casts Elemental Weakness for me) & an LMP Spectral Thrower wielding the Pillar of the Caged God & stacking strength. They cover the party's AoE needs, while I melt single targets. My tooltip DPS for Dual Strike with Anger & Wrath is currently around 3.5k dps.

The build goes up to the Templar for Catalyze, life, & most importantly, Sovereignty, as the reduced mana reserved, combined with the Reduced Mana support, allows me to run both Anger & Wrath on mana, which gives me a lot of elemental damage on my Dual Strike.

However, I have and will continue to have survivability issues for roughly 3 levels, at which point I'll be able to pick up Iron Reflexes. I should be alright with IR, combined with my current 49% block chance (15% for dual wielding, 20% for two Prismatic Eclipses, & 14% additional dual wield block from the Duelist's start). After that, passives I want to grab include more life nodes like Holy Strength, Thick Skin, Athleticism, etc. (I don't recall exactly how much life this char has, but it's not nearly as high as I'd like), attack speed (there are 2 6% attack speed nodes that I'm 1 point away from, and 3 points will get me Berserking, which is just as efficient as the two nearby 6% nodes), aura effect nodes to scale up my elemental damage from Anger & Wrath, & Inner Force for the same reason.

Having taken Resolute Technique, I am near the Marauder starting area. I'm unsure if it's a good idea to spend roughly 12 points to get into the Marauder's starting area via Armor Mastery, and then from there grabbing all the nodes along the Marauder's excellent life pathway (with the possible exception of Troll's Blood).

I'd also like to grab max mana nodes, as my mana puddle of ~90 mana after auras has regen of ~12 mana/second, while Dual Strike costs 28 mana. My mana regen needs are covered, however, when in the presence of the local Incinerate caster's Clarity aura. Max mana nodes would help alleviate this somewhat by giving me both more mana to work with and increased regen, though I'm unsure if I have the points to get enough mana to sustain Dual Strike at the high APS I'm aiming for.

I'm 5 points away from the rather mediocre aura passives cluster southeast of Blood Magic, and I'm debating spending the 5 points to pick it up. Though the passives aren't very strong, they're some of the only aura nodes that are nearby at this point in the build, and the 5% reduced mana reserved and the 8% increased aura effect nodes might come in handy (though I'd get the two in the Sovereignty cluster before getting the latter).

If I ever get lucky enough to afford/chance/find a Bringer of Rain, it would be a solid piece of equipment. The mana multiplier from the Melee Physical would be a bit of a waste, but Faster Attacks & Blind would be perfect supports for Dual Strike, along with Multistrike, WED, & Life Leech.

Thoughts on my build?
So I made a duelist and got it up to the point of equipping these so I thought I would come back to my thread and update you guys.

It looks like either the tooltip needs to be updated or the swords are bugged. Equiping two of these doesn't add the bonuses together, so you do t get two swords with 150% instead you have two prismatic with 75% each despite both of them being full reds.

But if you take one prismatic with any other sword it gives each sword 75%.

The moral of the story is if you are going to duel wield these, one sword should have three pure colors while the other sword has three DIFFERENT colors. That way for example both swords get the full attack speed bonus of one sword having three green sockets, and both swords get the full phys dam bonus from having three red sockets.

Even with this approach, these swords are very lackluster. Mine are 60-120 with 1.3 attack speed with 20 weapon stones used on each.

IF they had 150% phys dam I wanted by making them both have red sockets, they would be 295 DPS one handers, which is the minimum for end game. But they don't... the two swords having 75% phys damage each makes them a shitty 195 DPS one handers which are not sufficient for even the shittiest maps.

Anyone duel wielding these with 6 red sockets thinking the description is accurate is doing themselves a disservice. Don't waste your time like me making a whole new char around these only to realize 60 levels later they are bugged or the description needs to be updated to reflect the correction.
