All I can tell you is once you start hitting lvl 60+ you'll start finding more 5l and 6l drop in game. You'll even start finding enough 6l to vendor, and that will go a ways into solving your problems.

This system is terrible. It should be that each Orb of Fusing add another link. My friends & I wasted ton of both nerves & orbs on this system. Point of game should be to be fun, not frustrating. This system is very frustrating to say the least.

So the build I have made requires me to have a 5L minimum to be usable and so far I have used 224 Fuses on my Oro's Sacrifice and still no 5L.

It's getting to the point where I will just give up on this character/build and do something else instead.

The whole fusing system is incredibly frustrating, specially when other people message me saying ohh i got such and such in under 10 fusings. Good for you, but this game hates me!

I actually have friends that quited the game because of the fusing system. One tried to 6-link his searing touch. He farmed for weeks putting everything into linking the staff, without any result. Then he just gave up and quit the game. Its not fun not progressing. Thats why I have suggested multiple times to implement a sort of fusing counter, which would gradually increase the chances the more fuses you invested into an item. This would also provide a sense of progress, the fusing aren't completely wasted.

if you cant accept RNG just dont spend your farm on fusing, save for some exalts and buy your 5L/6L nobody is making you gamble.

I've linked/found around 30 items.

How to find a 5L?
When you're farming and loot a 6 sockets ALWAYS use a fuse (or two) on it... you never know.
Rise up your quantity to 80-100%, you'll see more 6 sockets on the ground (so more currencies for crafting), you could loot a 5 Linked, who knows :p

After a patch, or a level up, have a look at all NPC'shops (found a lv.18 Eva/ES chest 5L in act 3 normal like this :o )

Chances to craft a 5 Linked ?
On average 80-100 fusing (I did craft around 20-25 5L of all type (white, rare, unique) - mainly chests).
If I remember well, you get more chances to link a white item than a rare or unique one.
If you want to full craft a weapon or an armor, start by linking it, and then roll the mods on it.

Collect 100-120 orbs of fusing, grab some armorer scrap or whetstone if you want to, and try them all one by one. Take your time and enjoy the lottery :D

I have bought 3 5-link chests from vendors (they can drop starting in cruel act1) checking all vendors every lv up on different chars. It's worth it for chroms anyways.
Found two 6-link white/blue weapons, found one 5-link chest, 5-linked two chests with fusings(first one about 20 fusings, second one about 250 fusings).
5 60+ chars, two close to 90. Never seen a 6-link chest in my hands(could easily buy one though)...
