vs average normal non crit of 800 dmg, about 3k armor.

Armor is still amazing if you invest in it, the problem is most ppl will never get enough and see it as garbage, and I dont blame them. The formula needs reworking

Uber atziri mobs are hitting for 4k on crits

4000 x 0.7 = 2800 after enfeeble

With 60k armor, 3 charges = 76% reduction = 672 dmg
100 k armor, 3 charges = 87% reduction (almost cap) = 364 dmg

My (proposed) build can reach 60k+ on granite 'easily'. (300% armor, 50% buff effect to determination, armor only gear)

Totally depends on the hits you take, it's not a fixed value

BTW, i found that 12k basic armor (no flasks) is well enough for any character to sustain melee fights up to level 75 maps if combined with other forms of defense.

With my old nemesis duelist i could tank very well anything with this defense combo:

12k armor
10% life regene
46% chance to block
6k life

That's it, i could tank really any hard hitting monster. Map Kole included

This discussion has already been made countless times. Both armor and Evasion alone are nothing. You need other forms of defenses to render them effective, spacing from HP pool to MoM and Arctic Armor

Also, many just forget blind. An IR character with 5% chance to evade will have an intrinsic 75% chance to not being hit by blinding the opponent only without investing in any evasion passive/gear. Try map Kole with smoke mine and take a good laugh at him

Looks like i may need update my OP. Iv heard that the formula will be changing in the awakening,
replacing the 12s in the formula with 10s.
