Wow. Selfish. If some of you guys had been in charge at Steam you would have told the Valve people not to put on Christmas sales because it would make people who bought the games sooner feel bad. There are 40% sales 75% sales all over the internet right now. I suppose some of you would think those sales were "unfair" or something.
Well I'm done with the suggestion, not like I really care about what color my kiwi is anyway I usually forget to whip it out in the first place xD |

Well, it's "support". That means people are putting in money to make this game survive. It is not a part of the business. When I have a gold-supporter it means I gave $250 to GGG. It's highly unethical to make christmas sales on that.

Like I said in the last thread, buying a supporter pack is making a donation to the game to make it better for release and afterwards. It makes absolutely no sense to have a discount on a donation. I take pride in my gold member status knowing I was fortunate enough to donate a what I have.

I personally wouldn't mind, but I can understand the potential tension. No reason for GGG to create a negative experience for existing supporters by implicitly devaluing their support for the sake of a sale.
I'm more interested in seeing the open beta support packages... If I like a game, it'll either be amazing later or awful forever. There's no in-between.

I don't think it would have been a bad idea to make the basic kiwi a Christmas discount, can't see why anyone would be mad about that and as they aren't available post OB I think it could well have encouraged a few folks to get one before it's too late.
