Please Add an Ignore Button to the Forums.

It would be nice to have the ability to hide certain individual's posts from being read.

Currently it's kind of getting to the point where this function would be nice to have. It would be cool if you could squelch someone in individual forums or all of them at once.

P.S. This isn’t about anyone who’s been bothering me; it’s just a function that might keep some spammy messages from certain people out of sight.

Obviously this function won’t be needed until the game is fully released, but it would be nice to have.

No because then id have to keep making new accounts : /.

Anyway remember the forum can be used for a trade network too .So ignoring on it probably isnt a good idea. Iv never seen it on a forum in fact. In game however yes that makes sense.

If something spams on the forums you just delete it.

I think having a constant moderator presence is more effective at policing this sort of thing.

However, it's much more cost effective to let players moderate what posts they want to and don't want to see.

well, overall i would prefer a forum moderation cuz i dont want to ignore ppl no matter what they might post.
So far i dont think there was anything on this forum that would have do be deleted.
A few Troll or minor spam posts but nothing to be worried about.
But if the forum fills more a forum moderation of some sort should be around just to take care for realy bad insults/bad content ppl dont wanna see in this forum etc.

I believe that, if u give some veteran members a good guideline what u want/accept and what not, there will be some that might be intrested to help u out on this.
U could put up a vote to let the community chose who they want after ur first selection ofcourse. :)

With regard to forum moderation, what would you guys prefer? We can't really afford to put a staff member on this task, but maybe some members of the community could be chosen? Also, what type of policies are reasonable? So far we haven't deleted any posts unless they're obviously just spam. We don't want to censor opinions. Trolls are people too!

I dont think its real a necessary to add "ignore" option. You can simply ignore the person without any button...
