Love the game, but wtf is with all the backtracking in Act 2?

After X chars you will stop that and do only what you need.

Not likely, one of those skipped enemies could drop currency. Skipping currency? Fuck that.

I think a playstyle relying on speed, knowledge, killing only groups and not trying to search every single mob and quest will yield more "currency" in the end.

Problem is..assumptions. Meh..
What can never be lent or earned?
Somewhat, that devours everyone and everything:
A tree that rush. A bird that sings. It eat bones and smite the hardest stones.
Masticate every sword. Shatters every shrine. It defeat mighty kings and carry mountains on lightly wings.
What am i?

By skipping them, you fight other enemies, which also have a chance to drop currency.

lmao
i always do side quests since i enjoy a more relexed, slower gameplay
thats also the reason why i prefer soloplay instead of partyplay,if that means i hit al wall with level 72 maps i´m fine with that

atm i really hope the change the max required level for uniques to drop to level 74 so atleast rares/bosses cculd drop them

ofc i could buy higher level maps or run them when i find them in every xxxx map
but the investment/risk/reward is totaly off balance beyond level 72maps for soloplay
(flicker spieder groups in weaver room etc)
I usually do:

East: Den-Sins-Felshrine-Kraityn
West: Weaver-Alira/Captain(seal)
Riverways->Oak->Vaal

(completionist, never skip quests)
There isn't much backtracking at all.

I actually like Act 2. I feel like they could actually spice up Act 1 a bit more (and maybe separate the latter half of 3 into a slightly more cohesive Act 4, but meh.)
Ancient and unwise, SSF only since 2012

Really this is a horrible argument. But not full clearing you progress through the game faster. Assuming you kill a constant number of enemies per minute you will be at a higher level thus granting higher rare drops thus resulting in more currency. The orbs you get will be the same.
The problem here is that finding the entrance to Vaal ruins usually means clearing the Riverways zone again which sadly is the lowest level and the biggest zone out there.
This is the route I take through Act 2:
1. Go to cave and kill the beast.
2. Go to crossroads and grab the wp, head north and clear chamber of sins.
3. TP then wp back to crossroads, head south and clear church dungeon.
4. TP back to town and clear to blackwood, get wp then kill weaver.
5. After killing weaver tp and use wp to go back into your blackwood instance.
6. Go to western forest and deal with alira and "The Way Forward".
7. WP to crossroads and go east to broken bridge, deal with kraityn.
8. WP back to town then poison the tree and finish the rest of the act.
I really like Act II, how it's non-linear and you can choose which order you do the quests in. You don't have to back-track at all if you know how to do the quests in a sensible order.
Face it, all of your suggestions are worse than this idea:
