arctic armour- whats the point?

If you're not specced for it, it has one very specific purpose: a low-level arctic armor (even just something like level 6) will completely nullify all damage done by voidbearers. Seriously, check it out, it's crazy.

Level 15 arctic armor has definitely made my CI Scion build feel much less squishy. Things that used to give me trouble (huge packs of archers / rare voidbearers / titty shooters) are much easier to handle.

Takes a crazy level of mana regen to support it, though.

Agreed. The only problem is balancing Evasion and Energy Shield to give enough mana and armor.

my ea ranger doesnt have any problems with armor or evasion. I have several ways to reduce my dmg:

Cloak of Defiance(40% Mind over Matter).
3700 Life(158regen) / 3700 Mana(308regen)
Cast when dmt taken + Enfeeble + Enduring Cry + Raise Zombie + Rejuvenation Totem + Moltenshell
3000armor(with moltenshell)(37%reduction)
1100 evasion(15%evasion)
Arctic Armor(lvl18)

Whole build wouldnt work without the arctic armor, so yeah. Being able to afk facetank kole(as a non melee char) is gg mode imho.

My EB/AA EK Scion build. Utilizes max rank AA as a big part of the damage mitigation in the build. It's pretty damn strong.
