Why you shouldn't nerf in ARPGS

When this game first started in open beta shock nova dealt like 4x5 times the damage it did now, had no dead zone, and a much larger aoe. It was like todays discharge but you could get the gem just from killing hillock. No other spell compared to it and none probably ever will.

Are you saying we should still have the old shock nova?

Yes , someone like open beta shock nova , no dead zone.

Why not ?

POE just need a new league for play it.

A new league : Leisure league.

The developers have to create one game for everyone to play. They want to make it challenging for everyone, while not making it impossible for anyone. That's impossible, but it's the ideal they strive for. Items that are over powered make this process much more difficult. See... if they have to say "This will be too hard for people without Shavs." Then Shavs is the problem. If they say "This skill will be too weak unless the player has Kaom's"... then Kaom's is the problem.

You should never pick up an item that makes the game pointless.

To all of you arguing GGG is just balancing the game... Well you know what? This should be done in ALPHA, alpha testers are not doing their job and it is quite clear. These types of changes should be made in alpha (which should be called their test realm), no longer can you use the "it's beta" excuse.

Every time a skill becomes widely used, GGG drops a nerf with a very heavy hand.

This is an ARPG, we are supposed to be fucking over-powered, we are supposed to destroy hordes of monsters with the blink of an eye.

This is not an MMO, there is no need to balance and tweak every god damn thing, every single patch, this is not a competitive PvP game.

You simply kill massive amounts of monsters to get good loot, that is ARPG. All GGG has done since beta is nerf, nerf, nerf, nerf. Understandable it was in beta and they actually did need to balance things out, but now? No excuse.

You totally dont understand the meaning of this game.
As CliveHowlitzer already said, it has a competetive edge to it, the ladder in the 4 months, race seasons, etc.
You want to tell me it was SO MUCH FUN for everybody to just play a fckn docks farming sporker with 400/150? Oh yes, totally, thats nearly as much fun as everybody is driving the same car irl.
Dev's said the game is meant to have build diversity, they dont want anything that everybody uses, I understand the point with CoDT, but im somewhat sure that they didnt think how extremly abusable it is.

Might be the Alpha testers fault, maybe not. There were alot of changes in the release and I dont think that the Alpha guys are 24/7 going to use all the new things and discover all that stuff. Anyways, discussions never end well in this forum, but meh, you got my point.

Meaning is defined from person to person.

Different people have different definitions : For a good game

So "path of exile" have two more league, is not it?

"path of exile" needs to add a new league to other people play.

Because someone does not like you to define meaning.

Someone need a new league : Leisure league
No race
No Punishment

Must be too early... I don't understand what you've written.
GGG please implement a new button in the character section .

"Win !! "

When you press it u receive a "Well done hero !!" and credits .

Here we have the new " Carebear player with no hand or brain " league .

Enjoy it !
NGI RULES !

You can play "Standard league"

But, someone need "Leisure league"

A new League, a right to choose

No -10%exp
shock nova , no dead zone.
no nerf skill.

If you do not have obsessive-compulsive disorder.
If you have not Forced symptom.

Do not force others how to play the game.

Um, you are just defining it to your own liking.

I don't recall D2 or Titan Quest being such a game.

That would be like going to a flight sim game and demand that the dev make a "leisure mode" where you can play an arcade game instead.

That's not how it works. People play flight sim because they want a real sim experience, otherwise they won't play such a title to begin with.

The dev cannot spend resources to make a dozen more leagues to cater to every different needs. We play PoE because it's a challenging ARPG. If I do not want a challenging game, I'll play something else, not go to a challenging game and demand that I get a mode to my liking.
