I think you left "Free for all" allocation on your thread. You should probably change that ;/

The game does not adapt to you, you adapt to it.

because you can move up 15 feet before the boss/rare dies?
everyone has lag
Right, everyone has the same amount of lag. And rangers must move up to a boss before it dies. Because that is what rangers do, be in melee range.

dude if you lagging so bad you can't possibly get any loot then you can't possibly be any help to the group. Again tho you and I are getting off topic.
And yes if you want loot(FFA) and your killing a boss, the wise thing to do is get close as it is about to die. It is what smart rangers do.
The game does not adapt to you, you adapt to it.

TLDR: This game drew a crowd for a reason. Lets not forget what that reason was.
And in case anyone isn't sure what the reason was, it was because Blizzard fucked up.
People were playing this game before D3 came out. But it certainly did not hurt the success of PoE. But since you made this point, lets not Forget what were the causations of said "fuck up"

AH was a smaller complaint

To me, it's not "carebear" that's the problem, it's the constant demand that the developers spend all their time on this "end game" nonsense. Make a fun game. We'll play it to death. Don't think that we want a game that starts at level 80.

Further back than that, actually. During D3's CB, they made some really bad decisions, things that were promised were removed. Anyone who was still hopeful for D3 by the time it was released didn't pay the slightest bit of attention to its development and beta progress.
People WERE playing this game before D3 came out, but had D3 been everything it should have been, including retaining the utterly brilliant skill rune system originally proposed, Path of Exile wouldn't have drawn a crowd. A fanbase? Sure. A crowd? I think not.
But this is a massive hypothetical because D3 was always destined to be what it was, being the ugly confluence of the Diablo legacy and the company that made and continues to make World of Warcraft.
Wasn't that system really similar to support gems?
I think Blizzard gave up because each gem had a different effect on each spell instead of something set in stone (ie LMP adding 2 projectiles) so they gave up because they were literally 99999999999999999 spells to balance and code

What was the topic about again? Something about GGG and gun control and a hostile take over of blizzard?
