What would REALLY be awesome is get 4-5 friends who all helped a bandit, do a party to kill him and pretend you wait for a last member.

Heh... I used to play Fallen Earth back before it went free-2-play. I had countless hours of fun sneaking around PvP zones as a sniper called Peach, killing opposing factions.
Most of the best resources were scavenged in PvP zones, so all the crafters and non-combatants would try and sneak in to find them - only to be shot in the back of the head. Many of them raged, but I never really felt bad for several reasons: I only ever attacked people from hostile factions, PvP was 100% consensual (even if it was "forced" on you by entering a PvP zone for resources) and it completely fit the lore and style of the game. Oh yeah, and the worst penalty for death was paying to have your destroyed vehicle towed to the nearest gas station. PvP in the right context (consensual full open-world) can be great fun. Ganking people for lulz in the hardcore league of a primarily co-op game... well, that pretty much just flags you as a contemptible person. :) [Hardcore] Soldiers of the Wasteland - sotwguild.com
