Kripparian Is Streaming PoE Again
" Actually Metro was spot on, comparing the two is quite ludicrous, mostly because in this instance, Big Brother is so horrendously bad in every sense of the word, that very little compares to its lack of quality. This is not snobbery but fact, Big Brother is pop culture (generally always bad) at its worst/lowest point and that is saying something. I mean come on, at least Kripp's streams have a point, at least they have something relevant, intelligent and useful in connection to what he is streaming, whereas, nothing good can be said about Big Brother. I may not always agree with everything he says but it is still always interesting to hear his opinions on various topics relating to PoE. Last edited by Desbris#4733 on Dec 18, 2012, 12:47:10 PM

Take care out there.

It really makes me sad to see so many people saying anything remotely negative about Kripp. Hes got to be the most easy going, laid back, game loving streamer out there. He just wants to do what he loves and let people watch, and he doesn't go out of his way to play specific games because it would get him more money.

Really enjoyed watching him play that 1 hour cutthroat since I'm very new to this game (this genre in general). I think he is giving this game some well deserved advertising.

" If you think the spite of others will change just cause you wish it would, it ain't happening, Sonny Jim. If you look at this whole aspect we can divide the haters into the following categories: 1. Some people are just internet tough guys who claim that "LOL I HAZ LIEF SO KIRP R LOSUR HURR" - Look at yourselves, and wonder in what way your "lives" affect somebody else who's just doing this for fun. 2. Yet others are just outright vitriolic against the concept of a streamer being more well known than they are in their little lives on the internet and off of it. To such people I recommend Milton's "The Daffodil" as reading material. 3. Then there are the peons who think that living in your parents' house makes you a loser, especially if you play vidya games all day long. I intern in a hospital, and I still live at my parents' place. And probably will for a long while to come. So does that make me a loser to? straight A student, second overall in a class of 150, and model intern - yeah. Just because we live in our parents' houses we aren't losers and no life nerds. 4. The trolls who go "do you lift bro?" - explains itself. Why do you want to know if somebody lifts? so that you can go "my pecs and abs are bigger than yours?" Forgive me if not all of us want to look like the Incredible Hulk. I may be small myself but I am stronger than I look. 5. The people who're shocked that vidya games and streaming are an actual way of earning money. Well thats news to me, since the "money" you speak of that Kripp earns is just incidental to what he does. He never got into it for the money alone. Maybe they think that holding an actual job somehow makes them superior to people who aren't employed for whatever reason. We all choose how to live our lives. And let Kripp live his in peace. 6. Outright rabid dogs who just want a reason to tear someone down. Funny how the world works that way. 7. Evangelists who say that being unemployed is somehow "wrong" and deserves punishment. Really now? does this affect YOU somehow? or do you just want to force your views on other people? that's nice. 8. Finally, the bandwagon followers - who hate on people just because others hate on the same thing. Thank god I don't fall in there. inb4 "fanboy"; I'm just trying to stick up for somebody who I feel deserves it. I think it's time most of you learned the meaning of the words "MIND YOUR OWN FUCKING BUSINESS." Regards from Wraeclast, kthxbai 1337 21gn17ur3

I was asked in-game yesterday, probably quite facetiously and with the intent to incite, if I hate Kripp.
I was a bit taken aback. I'm still not comfortable with people interpreting my commentary in such base terms as 'love' and 'hate'. Is it really that simple? Rarely. Oh so rarely. I will say that I felt a bit bad for him when he said on-stream that he almost never games off-stream. Sure, that's his choice, and it's clearly working for him, but it's also the demands of his job. If I were constantly being watched while gaming, I'd feel an enormous amount of pressure. Some might say that being paid to play video games is 'living the dream', but if you included the clause 'while thousands of people watch and comment constantly', I'd say that's more of a nightmare than a dream to me. ;) But the bottom line is he's VERY good at it. Whatever his personality, whatever his views. This is his job and he earns every dollar made doing it. Only an envious fool would hate that. If I like a game, it'll either be amazing later or awful forever. There's no in-between.
I am Path of Exile's biggest whale. Period. |

" And as you can see, there are far too many envious fools in the world. This wins the thread. 1337 21gn17ur3

Kripp bring me here, and now i want to play that game!

In the end, he's bringing in more viewers which means more potential players/supporters.
Isnt that what matters here? The more support for GGG the better they keep PoE updated. |
