Can my friend run this game decently?

yeah if only adding a video card was possible, it's an all in one PC. Hence why he's getting a brand new pc made fresh. xD No problems, I'm fairly confident his computer can't run it so we've already scrapped the idea of him playing, but I'm planning to jump on it by myself anyway, looks too beast to pass up.

Install it and boot to the main menu. If it runs at a solid framerate, you'll be fine.

Not neccesarily; and especially not if you're partying with several casters. Solo I get 50+ FPS at 2560x1600 and everything but AA enabled (GTX 560). Partied I have to kill post-processing, shadows, and high textures, and still only get 20-30fps.

I'd be skeptical about it working; but to find out you'll need to actually go beyond the login screen and try playing. If $10's too much to risk to find out, I'd suggest waiting until it's free to play (supposed to be next month).

You might have something going on there because I'll run my game on high everything and get 50-60fps no matter how many people. My GTX470 is dying too. I might just be lucky.

The card works fine for compute, so I don't think there's anything wrong with it. What res are you playing at? I assumed I just ran into memory limits at 2560x1600 since I only have the 1GB variant of the card.
Did you ever see history portrayed as an old man with a wise brow and pulseless heart, weighing all things in the balance of reason?
Is not rather the genius of history like an eternal, imploring maiden, full of fire, with a burning heart and flaming soul, humanly warm and humanly beautiful?
Why the hell would you play at 1600 on a 560?
So I myself am playing on an i5 quad core with a GTX 260 card and 4 gbs of Ram at the moment, how well do you think it'll run on my system? Given the response of the previous poster, he only stated 512 dedicated video ram, not sure how his video card compares to my own, but same processing and ram power. Curious if I'll have issues at all.
The game runs fine on my system with no slow downs.

22 inch monitor 1680 * 1050
Win 7 64bit
Intel i3 - 2100 (3.1GHz dual core)
8GB of cheap RAM (game uses 1600+ MB)
8800GT 512MB
Intel SSD (levels load in 3-5 seconds)

It's your onboard GPU.

My CPU is much less than yours. Upgrade your GPU and you will be rocking hard.

The 260 was a standard gaming gpu 3 years ago... it'll run it fine.

Because I can?

For partying I might do better at 1920x1200; but changing the resolution of one monitor in a multi-monitor setup causes windows to thrash the size/position of everything on the desktop. Besides when I'm playing with several other people the screen's too full of projectile spam to actually notice what anything looks like. ;-p

I had MSIAfterburner running when I played solo last night; I was at 80-90% memory capacity and 30-40% GPU load (unless I tried cranking AA in which case it maxed out and framerates collapsed). I'll take another look the next time I join public map runs; but a memory bottleneck appears to be the issue.
