Your "All Time" Favourite PC game?

Deus Ex came to mind the moment I saw the thread title.

....but I have lots of other favorites, as well.

I was just about to post the same :) I keep telling the Halo / COD generation of gamers that they missed out on the best era of FPS gaming that was the original Orange Box.

Worth an honorable mention (though no one would be surprised) a close second place includes: BG1, FO1, and Jagged Alliance. These are all tied for second, I couldn't begin to rate one above the other, and Half Life only takes first by a millimeter. There are of course older games too (EotB comes to the front of my mind) but I cannot rate these at the top, as I didn't come into my own as a gamer until the above first and second place games, the others were a bit before my time.

The orange box was like one of the greatest deals in history. I remember being super interested in portal back when no one knew what it was. Portal was one of my big reasons for wanting it.

That was the second Orange Box ;) Im talking about the first, that included Half Life, Blue Shift, Team Fortress Classic, and Counter Strike. I proceeded to spend the next several years playing CS and TFC, and Age of Empires in between when my FPS skills were lacking.

I'd have to say Elite , Frontier Elite, or a little shareware program named "Moria" - a rouge like that I played when I served in the US Air Force on my Amiga 500. I may have a couple hundred hours on each of these Fallout 3 , FO NVegas, Morrowind/Oblivion/Skyrim but I have years of hours of gaming on Frontier Elite and "Moria".

Easily Diablo 2. I played that game for hours... and hours... and hours! I would still be playing that game if the player base was still huge. Also, PoE kicks ass so this one will probably be up there with D2.

Lotta the same games here.....guess you can see the best games in existence in this thread. D2 for me btw.

easy, it's morrowind - the most epic thing i ever played. brings me lot's of memories as well.
