That sure worked out well... 3+ years later it's as prevalent as ever. |

StinkFinger's righteous crusade is taking it's toll.
hundreds of current players have uninstalled PoE after reading the string of posts in the past 24 hours. Thousands more who were about to try the game out, have decided otherwise from the points made. This probably will be a blow to the NZ economy too! |

It's a shame GGG doesn't trust the Alpha testers more. I also don't get why Alpha has to be some big secret. More testers, more transparency- that's what I'd like.

I know they have to keep some things secret, but at least the 2 week mini-patches could be handled more transparently. Maybe give everybody alpha access for those, or if that's too much then everyone who has spent money. No more worry about insider trading because everyone's an insider. No scapegoat to blame when balance is messed up because everything possible was done before adding it to leagues.

From what I've read Zealot's Oath wasn't alpha tested.
So it's kinda confusing to know what has actually been tested by players and why that sometimes might be. By the way uh, is there a way to become an alpha tester these days? I knew about the game way back when but didn't bother getting into beta before I saw that wipes weren't happening every other patch. It'd be interesting cause I like giving feedback and don't mind playing a bugged game, but it seems like I got pretty late on that boat. Give Support an email, they will add you to a list to check out, dunno if the devs are looking though. I just know there's a list of players who are interested.

Thanks for this information, very interesting stuff. How often do you find bugs while alpha testing? You all seem to be doing a great job regardless because the finished product seems remarkably bug free.
