Well, POE finally killed my Mac!!!

In no way do I blame GGG for this!

I finally gave up on the Mac port and decided to take everyone's advice and install Windows 7 using Bootcamp. Everything seemed fine for a while but my computer suddenly stopped being able to revert back to Mac OS and would only reboot into Windows. I was forced to reset to factory settings and reinstall, luckily I backup a lot. I have spent the last 9 months struggling with this game on my Mac and it has finally taken its toll (on both me and my computer). Anyway, that's not important.

What is important is that I thank GGG for making such a great game that has been a joy to play, even with all the lags and desync. When I found this game I was looking for a game that was like Gauntlet and D&D and I found it. I'm am very sad to leave before release but I can't afford any more stress to my computer.

It's been a blast being part of my first gaming community and enjoying the best game I have ever played. Fanboy!

I'll most likely be back when the Steam Box comes out or I find another appealing alternative to Mac for gaming.

I wish all of you the best and I will see y'all soon enough,
Justin.

P.S.- Flamers and Trolls please do your best as it will make my Sabbatical easier.

I need Mac for work purposes and it just seems silly to get a PC just for 1 game, whereas a the steam box seems more appropriate for a casual gamer like myself.

Then how about you get a PC for more than one game? There's no reason to not have a gaming-dedicated computer. Especially when it doesn't run the risk of burning a $2000 hole in your pocket for some pretty casing and fluffed up programs.
Steambox looks like a good buy but honestly a cheap pc that will run PoE is not very expensive. I have a spare box at home that runs it fine with maxed settings that probably cost less than $300 all up. Second hand except for the Gfx card. Check out your local rags and trading sites for cheap boxes, check em against minimum stats and voila! problem sorted.
I recently installed windows via bootcamp. It default starts in Windows and I can't figure out why. All you have to do is hold the option key during boot up and choose which OS to start up in. A bit of a pain, but you didn't need to reformat.
Thread killer.
I know everyone hates Macs and think they are a waste of money and elitist, but I work in film and video and that is the best system for my line of work. Plus it just works without all the tweaking PC users have to do. Plus I'm stubborn Tbh. I like my Mac and that's that..not real happy with them in the last few years but I'm old and stuck in my ways.
