Inventory slots as a Micro Transaction!
" I agree with you, too. Personally, I think it would be more ethical to represent this as a commercial game with a limited free demo mode, and limit the free demo even more than the current free game: 1. Two stash tabs (per league). 2. Eight character slots (total). That's plenty to experience a good 50+ hours of free gameplay. Extremely generous for a game of this quality and level of polish. Then sell the actual game for $35+, with eight stash tabs and 24 character slots. I can see how the above suggestion would NOT be popular. But I prefer indisputable honesty over freebies any day. The current situation is much more generous, but the "stash tab transactions aren't TECHNICALLY pay2win because you can always set up a second mule account" argument comes off as disingenous at best, when GGG is using "ethical microtransactions" as a political platform. It's worth noting as well that GGG are pioneers in this realm, and their competitors are watching closely. They will have a great deal of influence on publishers to follow. Just my 2c. Like I said, GGG is being much more generous than I would be in their shoes. Feel free to flame away. :) Wash your hands, Exile!
