Baratrum - A pit, especially one at Athens into which criminals were thrown. The abyss, hell.

Diabolical
Its literal meaning is more extreme than Ruthless, it fits perfectly in the context of the other difficulty names and it's a tongue in cheek nod to a once great franchise. What could possibly be better?
